Congratulations GOP

They have succeeded at grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory.

They had the Hur report and Trump blew that off the front pages the next day with his NATO go ahead Russia attack them comments and now they’ve overplayed their hand big time and impeached Mayorkas a week after quashing a bipartisan immigration bill while a GOP led state plays political theatre on the border. Literally a politically brain dead way to play it. Now they look like they are setting up a crisis rather than trying to solve one and looking to install a stable genius in office that wants to do insane things.

I wonder what is moving the needle for the independents. The idiot MAGA's will never change. They're so dumb, they think Trump looks strong thru these comments. But will this sway enough of those fools who are still on the fence?

I think the Hur report was political gold, muddying that up with other stuff that may or may not please anybody besides the base is mystifying.

By 8 doubling the polls 4% margin. 54-46. I think we underestimate the groundswell in opposition to the Republicans at our own risk.

I wouldn't take a win in a blue district in a blue state that was recently vacated by a fraudster as any type of national trend for this coming November. While it is true that Republicans are willing to put the king fraudster at the top of the ticket, with Bryce, Audiophile, and BMW loudly cheering, taking this as some type of indication that Biden is somehow NOT vulnerable, you are only fooling yourself.

I would agree that this was a Santos response.

It’s a swing district in the suburbs that barely leans blue (by 3 points or so). If it was a real blue district Santos never would have won. The thing is on Long Island for god sakes. All I’m saying is the Democrats have consistently outperformed lately.

OR, is it a "Pussy MAGA voters won't gut thru the snow and ice to vote" result.

Well Santos won by 7 and now Suozzi won by 7 so that’s a 14 point swing. They each campaigned heavily on their parties immigration platforms since that was in the news. It’s worth noting this is a district that has been sent Texas migrants and has a detention center in it. So for whatever that’s worth. That said special elections are wonky. The Democrats also flipped a Pennsylvania state house seat as expected winning by around 30 points and breaking a 101-101 tie. Now it’s 102 D and 100 R.
