I've never been a divisional grievenceman at the largest integrated steel mill in Michigan. I've never seen the company let a third of the bosses go on what we called Day of the Long Knives. And then turn around and give their jobs to hourly "bun boys", leaving the shop short handed.
I have no idea what I'm talking about. You got me. Busted.
Mill work is dangerous work. Care to explain why work injury and death dropped after Unionization?
Sorry it was inconvenient for the managers, maybe you should have considered unionization. You sound resentful that you didn't have the same protection that collective bargaining does.
Despite being stuck in middle management, given the short end of a stick, you still defended those who likely closed you down because the tax implications were favorable. You should be proud you left an ample trust fund for the children of upper management. It likely helped them buy that third vacation home.
