Elites Like Trump 2.0?

He has a point, mainly that Biden is severely misguided.

PS I find that interesting Trump mostly copied Mike Huckabee's platform on Iran, Trade and the Border, without the bluster. Of course, Mike Huckabee won Iowa in 2008, and then we got stuck with the milquetoast globalist Mitt Romney.

What is severely misguided IMO is the belief that enough voters find Trump so reprehensible that Biden will be the defacto winner this year.

These people are in for a rude awakening in about 10 months.

I rather doubt that and you’ve been arrogantly over confident about the Republicans chances before. He’s got maybe 47%… he’s not going to gain a bunch of people anywhere. He only ekes it out in the electoral college of everything goes perfectly. He’ll once again lose the popular vote by millions and maybe with it the electoral college. But each time he’s been running he’s been doing so underwater so to speak.

Taken from a much longer article.

"Donald Trump has a problem no matter what happens in New Hampshire on Tuesday night: There’s a whole swath of the Republican electorate and a good chunk of independents who appear firmly committed to not voting for him in November if he becomes the nominee., a New York Times/Siena College poll found that — including independents who say they lean toward one party over the other — Biden had slightly more support among Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents (91 percent) than Trump did among Republicans and GOP-leaning independents (86 percent)."

It would be a patriotic duty to vote against Trump? Given his behavior on Jan 6, I'd have to agree.

McCain was the 2008 nominee. McCain and Romney were both MILES better than the fat religious zealot.
Voting for Trump is dumber than playing Russian Roulette with fully loaded chambers.

New Hampshire has a far better record of predicting the nominee than Iowa does.

Didn't say that he wasn't. McCain failed because of his age and his VP pick, as well as inflation crashing everything. Sounds like Biden in 2024!

Oh, and we're familiar with you spouting sonnets for Megan, LOL. I think we should leave weight out of it.

Inflation had nothing to do with 2008-09… that was banking issues and subprime loans particularly for cars and homes. In fact there may have been a little deflation — which is really bad — then.

BMW, has been pretty close every election that I can remember. He backed away from Trump winning in 2020.

Matt, however, was way overconfident on McCain and Romney. Someone once wrote on here "Matt's predictions even make AP queasy". LOL, that was so true.

Come on. A three legged cat could have run as a Democrat in 2008 and won. No republican was gonna win in 2008. No one.
