Chinese Communist Party billionaire secretly purchased 200K acres of US land a decade ago, sparking bipartisan outrage

https://nypost.com/2024/01/13/news/chen ... s-outrage/

Wonder what the Chinese CCP will use 200k acres of farmland in Oregon for?

Folks, please be alert to any foreign purchases of michigan farmland.
That’s capitalism at work. Why not try socialism… pesky things like foreign purchases of land don’t happen. Most likely they will use it for soybeans, corn or hogs. Things that their citizenry consume in large quantities.
How does prohibiting the sale of farmland, based on national security issues, pertain to capitalism or socialism?
We can seize said farmland back through eminent domain at any time and tell them to pound sand if it’s such a big deal.

But capitalism doesn’t give a rats ass about national security or anything like that. It just wants cash. No more and no less. The Chinese are paying so capitalism is selling.

Are we worried they’ll start spying using fake farmhands ostensibly raising cattle or something?
From the right wing conspirators over at CNN...
Among the most alarming things the FBI uncovered pertains to Chinese-made Huawei equipment atop cell towers near US military bases in the rural Midwest. According to multiple sources familiar with the matter, the FBI determined the equipment was capable of capturing and disrupting highly restricted Defense Department communications, including those used by US Strategic Command, which oversees the country’s nuclear weapons.

So do we think they secretly climbed to the top of the cell towers and put the equipment there?

I bet it's grain. The own Smithfield, so it's likely feed.

That’s exactly what I would think. They also have a large import business with out grain.

The cell towers mentioned here are definitely a threat. They were designed with a "backdoor" allowing access. This all came to light a couple of years ago. So no, RT they did not climb the cell towers, our cell providers bought the gear because it was cheap. When the Chinese send those baloons over, they have to be able to get their info somehow...
FCC knows it partner, you should too!
Sorry Terry Hanks, that was semi-plagiarism.

How does China owning farmland present a national security risk? It might surprise you to learn how much US companies own in China... it's called capitalism and your home appliances and probably your bacon wouldn't be in your house without China.

However, Michigan pot is 100% homegrown.
If you can't see, or recognize, that direct investment by the Chinese Communist Party in the U.S. economy, the purchase of strategically located properties, as well as gaining control of the means of producing our food is a major threat to our national security, there is no need for me to expound further.

Probably didn't raise an eyebrow when the Biden Crime Family helped China purchase the worlds largest source of cobalt and then go on to push electric vehicles.
If you're able to pull your brain out of the oxygen starved place it normally resides you might want to take a look at what the Saudis are doing in Arizona regarding farmland and water usage. Worth noting, it took a Democratic Governor to put the wheels in motion to put an end to it.

This insult coming from somebody who quite literally starves his brain for oxygen.

A group of researchers obtained brain scan data from 26,268 people, scans that had been recorded from patients across the country between 1995 and 2015. The researchers used single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT). This sophisticated imaging study evaluates blood flow and activity patterns to analyze blood flow levels across the brain in cannabis users and non-users. The findings showed cannabis users had significantly lower blood flow, especially in the brain’s key memory and learning centers.

Not quite sure what you're babbling about here sparky, I don't think the Saudi should on farmland here either.

As we both know, pot reduces oxygen to the brain. Doesn't it make your nuts smaller too?
