The Colorado Supreme Court has ruled Trump ineligible for the states ballot under the insurrection clause of the constitution.

That means he won’t be able to be voted for there in the primary or general election. Sorry bout your luck. He probably had no chance there anyways as it’s pretty blue but still. It’s a precedent for other states to do the same. And since each state sets its own ballot requirements the Supreme Court won’t be bailing him out.

You have to know an appeal is coming. I do applaud their ruling although I doubt it will stand in the end. If it does maybe other states will grow a pair and do the same thing.

From an article I just read

The court stayed its decision until Jan. 4, or until the U.S. Supreme Court rules on the case.

4 years and 1 day after his first impeachment.
Voting for Trump is dumber than playing Russian Roulette with fully loaded chambers.

Can a state Supreme Court ruling be appealed up to the National variant? I would have thought it would be absolute just in that jurisdiction at least especially for a ballot case since that is clearly state level.

Th state Supreme Court set aside the decision till the 4th or until SCOTUS makes their decision, but it has to be made by the 5th so ballots can be printed so I guess the answer is yes. If SCOTUS upholds the decision all the other states with cases pending will be a slam dunk and that will be that. He would need to count on a write in campaign then, if that would even be allowed.

It will be very interesting to see how this plays out… this is certainly a shot across the bow.

At this point he should bow out to avoid the embarrassment.

HA... The last time I thought of John Denver was when his name came up at the "We Are The World" recording session. The story goes someone out of character (Willie Nelson, Bruce Springsteen?) looked around the room and said "If a bomb were to go off in this studio John Denver would be on top again"
