36%?Round Six wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2023 4:00 pmYou are correct. However there's something to ponder. Go back and read your original post again. As whacked as all that may sound, what percentage of the Americans that live more than 100 miles from an ocean does that chatter resonate with?
Trump is telling many people what they want to hear. Arguing that he's full of it misses the point. Sure he's a snake oil salesman. A second term would be a poltergeist. But he knows what he's doing. Baffling and Dazzling. There may be no substance. But he's putting on a show that more people than you think love to hear.

Trump's second term plans
Re: Trump's second term plans
Voting for Trump is dumber than playing Russian Roulette with fully loaded chambers.
Re: Trump's second term plans
How does that interact with the average IQ across the country?
You're never too old to learn something stupid.
Re: Trump's second term plans
He still really isn't on aggregate... also I think the polls still have a Republican bias similar to the "Red Wave" in 2022. Pollsters got their shorts in a wad by being "wrong" in 2016 when they actually weren't. There's been a distinct Republican oversample ever since.

Not in 2018 or 2020.Rate This wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2023 10:14 pmHe still really isn't on aggregate... also I think the polls still have a Republican bias similar to the "Red Wave" in 2022. Re: Trump's second term plans
Wrong. The question was who does the awful plans listed in the OP resonate with, not who would vote for Trump. I take it you're clearly in the 36%.

Re: Trump's second term plans
My inner anarchist wants to see how bad this can get. But since I suspect I would be bothered by the whole thing in some way that seems unwise.

Any Republican elected is a threat to my personhood. See Project 2025.
They/them, non-binary and proud.
Remember that “2000 Mules” was concocted by a circus of elephants.
The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.
