Yup. The lousy handling of Russia since 2012 has only emboldened them. Oh, and since we’ve failed to hold up our end of the bargain with Ukraine, what are the chances Iran and NoKo tell us to pound sand with nuclear negotiations?

Short of pointing nukes at him or launching a full blown attack what exactly do you suggest we do? An arms race won’t work. He doesn’t need one and would just ignore us.

I don't see how one can blame Biden, but I do agree that Obama could have handled Crimea differently. Trump would have asked Putin how the U.S. could help. His Putin praise did not go unnoticed.
They/them, non-binary and proud.

Remember that “2000 Mules” was concocted by a circus of elephants.
The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

For those with short memories...
"A few months ago when you were asked what’s the biggest geopolitical threat facing America, you said Russia, not al-Qaeda," Obama said during the third presidential debate between him and Romney in October 2012. "And the 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because the Cold War’s been over for 20 years."
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

I don't see how one can blame Biden,
Let me clean your glasses...

There was a bipartisan measure to impose sanctions on the Russian company that is building the Nord Stream 2 pipeline to deliver natural gas from Russia to Germany and Trump signed it into law. For some reason Biden waived those sanctions and allowed Nord Stream to move forward and handed a basic monopoly for Russia to supply energy to Europe. Not only did that create the ability to raise a fair amount of capital for Russia, it also gave away any leverage we had over Putin.

Could the $3.5 million wire transfer from Elena Baturina, the wife of the former mayor of Moscow, to Hunter Biden have had anything to do with this decision?

Putin is brilliant. He knew that rather than focus energy on figuring out the problem, US citizens would be so myopic they would focus on the role of their own politics. He's got nothing to worry about, we're too busy bickering among ourselves.

"Brilliant"?? Really?? I don't think so.

Any moron could see what's happening in the USA and know that they (we) aren't going to respond in any meaningful way to stop what's going on over there, or in Taiwan.

I would think the folks in South Korea would be getting pretty nervous too.

That may be true, but it's not really saying a lot. Not a lot of good competition from "leaders" out there.

Who would you suggest are in the running for the top five positions?

Someone who has sound judgement surrounded by adults. Unlike the former guy who was mentally unstable and went through cabinet officials like they were toilet paper.

Chris Rock is touring. He might need an opening act.

The former guy was a lackey for Putin. Obsessed with praising him.
