"StarDate" is the McDonald Observatory's syndicated astronomy segment, carried for many years on WWJ 950.
Sandy Wood, the voice of StarDate for 28 years, has retired, as of July 16. Her replacement is Austin TX voice Billy Henry.
Didn't care if Mercury was in retrograde, Mars in opposition, or an asteroid hurtling toward us, I would crank up the volume for StarDate just to hear Sandy's luscious voice.
A Fond Bon Voyage!
