WMTR going Digital

96.1 WMTR in Archbold is going digital according to their facebook page. Also adding 94.3. Also adding other sub-channels. Will anyone care?

We all better run out to Best Buy and purchase the $50. HD Radio to get WMTR, do you want me to pick one up for you as well?

So, is 94.3 going to be located in the Toledo City limits so we can hear Tigers baseball games again since they're already hogging the rights for Toledo? I have a very decent radio (1.7uV) and it's not acceptable copy in a moving vehicle to listen to the game. WMTR is a thorn- good luck with that HD, if you can't run it with a 10dB gain, it's not worth it. Can't believe WBGU 88.1 has HD when the signal doesn't even travel to the 93.5 tower on ST RT 582.

I can't imagine a 94.3 would be allowed anywhere near the contour of 94.5 WXKR. You'd just be asking for trouble...

Duh, you are correct BASProShop. They do close-space LPFM, that's for sure. In BG and then in Toledo, there are two totally different signals on 97.7, and again on 106.1MHz. WMTR should just buy 106.5 from Cumulus' holding company and then there won't be a pissing-match on Tigers rights, even though it will be 4 years before they're in the playoffs again. I can actually picture a 41-year-old Verlander having his last season of strikeouts back in Detroit.
