Re: WTWR Tower 92
I worked at Tower for Steve briefly in the summer of '79. The view from the 15th floor studio was break taking.

When Bruce and Terri bought the station, the first thing they did was convert the station to stereo.IIN4MU wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 9:28 am...and that was courtesy of Tower 92 sales exec Bruce Lesnick (now deceased). He took the WTWR calls (and classic logo) to 98.3 in Monroe, which was WVMO - The Voice of Monroe, a country-formatted, farm report-airing 3kW station whose stick was in Monroe County at the time. Most notable WTWR/Monroe alums are NPR correspondent Don Gonyea, longtime WLEN/Adrian talent Dale Gaertner, and current/past Detroit air talents Terri McCormick, Steve Marshall, Lori Bennett, Lou Dallman, and WHMI/Howell's Mike Marino and Jon King.1027BrianFM wrote: ↑Fri Nov 16, 2018 11:54 pmInteresting! Obviously 98.3 in Monroe took the name and the calls, after they changed to WCXI country.
