When I say Americans, I mean Americans collectively. America, as a nation, absolutely adores Trump and will elect him again.

Remember. I correctly predicted the last election months before either party had even chosen their nominee.
44% or so does... the other 56% want his head on a pole...
Did electoral-vote.com tell you that? We're not all polarized and there is no red team/blue team bullshit. It's possible for people to not approve of a leader's performance and not want their "head on a pole". That's an extremely absurd statement...

Yes.

I was right in 2016 and I'm right today. America loves Trump.. Americans share Trump's racist and sexist views. Trump's vile and hateful persona endear him to the American people. They adore him.
Hang on there, my friend from the Great White North...I do NOT share his racist or sexist views. Not one bit. I don't share his views on lots of things.

Between WKQI, WJLB, WDZH, WGPR and to some extent WDVD, I'd rather pierce my ears with hedge trimmers than have to hear another second of Cardi B or whoever the flavor of the month is.

But of course, he's not racist or sexist! He ONLY named all non-white males who he doesn't like and trashes hip hop culture, which is by and large heavily African-American. Move along, nothing to see here!

I don't like modern rap and pop. Sue me. The following artists would like to have a word with you:
LL Cool J
Run DMC
Whitney Houston
The Gap Band
Public Enemy
Ice Cube
Easy E
Dr. Dre
Fuck it, NWA in general
George Clinton (even I can't help but bring up the Clintons)
Chaka Khan
2Pac
Notorious BIG
De La Soul
Kool Moe Dee
DMX
Earth Wind and Fire
Lenny Williams
The Supremes
The Ronettes

These are just a sample of black/female artists found on my iPod. Note that none of them are really post 2004. But, by all means, make another dipshit comment. The law of averages says even you have to say something intelligent at least once.

I'll tell you what, Matt. Since you have nothing better to do than scour the interwebs, look for one of the artists I mentioned where they write lyrics like Public Enemy. Where they're writing something about more than the things I listed above. Let's see if you can pull that off. Find Cardi B's "Fight the Power". Find Drake's "Fuck the Police". Find some brains while you're at it.

At rhe risk of starting a flame war, while scanning the dial tonight, this song came on WJLB. Now please, defend this. Tell me how this is influencing people positively in any way. This is the vast majority of the lyrical (never mind lack of actual music) depth you will find on the average CHR/Urban station. Not to say "Animals" by Nickelback is any better, but at the very least, it's a group of people trying to work out an actual song.

Now, by all means, put this up against the lyrics of "The Message" by Grandmaster Flash or "It's Like That" by Run DMC. Take a gander. This is what people are preferring and listening to.

Fuck with me and get some money (ayy)
Fuck with G and get some money
No limit I'm a fucking soldier, ayy
Always lit, yeah I'm never sober
It's been three days in a row, your bitch coming over
Told that bitch to kick rock, she act like it's a boulder, ayy
'Rari, shopping
Let me, cop it
Always, poppin'
Hella, poppin'
She's a bopper

The RunDMC song actually makes Sense... the other one just kinda sucks... but notice that those stations no longer rank highly in the ratings...

Whether or not all the kids who do listen to it are really influenced in real life in any way has been debated since the 1980’s alongside video games... I don’t think anyone has ever been able to prove that it causes any harm...

Gee an old white guy doesn't understand the music of a young black man?

Listen to most of the 70's rock that hasn't been scrubbed by the "tested" machine and you would be just as offended...
Yeah, I'm gonna kick 'em out!
Well, I feel pretty good and I guess that I could
Get crazy now, baby
'Cause we all gotta of what we gotta do
Gettin' hazy now, baby
I know how you want it, child, hot, quick and tight
The girls can't stand it when you're doin' it right
When I'm up on the stand
I'm? to kick out the jams
Yes, kick out the jams
I done kick 'em out!
Yes, I'm a starting to sweat, you know my shirt's all wet
What a feeling!
It's a sound that abounds and resounds
And rebounds off the ceiling
You gotta have it, baby, you can't do without
Oh, when you get that feeling you gotta sock 'em out
Put that in my hands
And let me kick out the jams
Yeah, kick out the jams
I done kick 'em out!
So, you got to give it up, you know you
Can't get enough, Miss Mackenzie
'Cause it gets in your brain, it drives you insane
With a frenzy
The wigglin' guitars, girl, the crash of the drums
Makes me wanna rock until the morning comes
Let me be who I am
I kick out the jams
Yeah, kick out the jams
I done kicked 'em out!
Yo, yeah, out

That is purely a cultural thing. White guys are not part of that club and it's just a different perspective on a word I find offencive.

You understand that older black folks become incensed by the younger folks using it right? So it’s not a cultural thing at all... it’s a group of idiots losing sight of their past and degrading themselves without realizing it...

To call it “a different perspective” is insulting...

Keeping with the spirit of the thread... It’s these kinds of stupid ideas from people like yourself that epitomize why a progressive will be driven into the ground by Trump in 2020... the progressive movement is a complete freakin joke to us pragmatic Democrats... go form your own party... nobody wants you screwing things up with far left wacky ideas...

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

Well that blows a hole in the theory, doesn't it? I knew he was, too. Saw his photo when I googled the song. Sooooooo what was that about the race card? I don't care who is writing and performing this pap. It sure as hell isn't doing anyone any good.

With this post, it was clear you were not going to take your L here, so I decided I wasn't going to respond if you didn't take it any further. You did, and therefore you've forfeited any ability to let sleeping dogs lie. You took a shot at me on election night, and you've been generally shitty to me since, so when I see you say you're not racist or sexist, and then separately, I'm seeing you trash women and minority singers/rappers on another thread, that is not exactly "scouring the interwebs". In fact, the comments were on this site! Let's revisit:

Drake - non-white male
Taylor Swift - white female
Nicki Minaj - non-white female
Cardi B - non-white female

Keep digging your hole...

"Saw his photo when I googled the song"

You didn't actually know he was white, but when you googled it and saw that he was white you were like "Homerun, Mega Hertz!" Sorry but this reeks of the scene in Road Trip where there at the black fraternity and DJ Qualls' character is accused of being racist. "Racist??? How can I be racist? I WATCH OPRAH EVERYDAY!"

In closing, its possible that you're not racist or sexist and that you just have an unconscious bias. It's interesting that you would lose your shit over a radio station that has now flipped formats that you were never forced to listen to in the first place.

Dude, what L? I asked you to defend those lyrics that tons of kids and teens love. I know you're a little slow, but go back and read that post again. Plus, I haven't ever seen you be sweet and cordial with many folks either, so don't get confident.

Seeing as how you seem to have time to go through the board and look for my posts about musicians, find the one where I mention mh strong distaste for the band Foreigner. Guess that means I'm racist and sexist towards white males!

Oh, and PS...I don't run from the ol' internet tough guy. You're not schooling me in any way, shape or form. As you asked a member once, "Holy shit, there's no way you're that fucking dense, are you?"
