Being pro-police

Some folks just cannot resist the urge to debate current issues of the day...here's the place to satisfy your craving. BE FOREWARNED - if you are an intellectual lightweight, you might find it a bit rough in here. This place is kinda like a never-ending edition of the McLaughlin Group. You’re right... facts are our friends...

Most of your doctors and teachers keep their jobs too... especially teachers. About 1% of any profession is corrupt or messed up in some way. That’s what leads to turnover, new hires and a job cycle. If cops never got fired or quit or what have you then hiring them would be rare. It’s not.

Blanketly is an adverb:

How else would you like to fail today?
Wiktionary? Seriously? :rollin :rollin :rollin

Do you always do your research through Wikis? :lol :lol :lol

Try an actual dictionary there, Skippy! Webster.com says about "blanketly" - "The word you've entered isn't in the dictionary. Click on a spelling suggestion below or try again using the search bar above."

:rollin :rollin :rollin

Oh, and doctors and teachers normally don't carry guns, yell at people to stop recording them, or kill innocent unarmed people and pretend that their safety was at risk as an excuse.

Even with your ignorance, I still have a hard time believing that you're okay with "1%" of cops being bad. That's 9,000 monsters on the loose, sporting a god complex, where it's their way or death.

I’m not surprised by your response. In my experience with ignorant people, they usually resort to name-calling and making unsubstantiated claims when put in their place. Nothing new here.

Did you make up any new words today?

Bad cops (sorry that’s often redundant) aren’t held accountable. Most cops agree with me on that. You can look above for the link to the evidence.

I pity you. You live in a prison of ignorance that you built brick by brick. You wear shackles and chains that you forged. However, ignorance doesn’t have to be a life sentence! Even you can improve!

Since I’m being trolled I’ll let you rant away. I’m not ignorant. I take much offense to that. Go on talking to yourself since nobody responds to your posts on this anymore. Apparently you haven’t gotten the hint.

It’s a “good ol’ boys” club. Imagine if one of us “regular folk” were doing 107 mph. I’m sure the guns would be drawn, we would be ordered out of the truck or ripped out of the truck. But if you’re a police chief, no problem! Just laugh it off!

I don’t know if that’s the case, but at least the SOS isn’t killing innocent, unarmed minorities at an alarming rate!

I can’t understand the ignorance of those who dismiss bad cops (sorry for the redundancy) by saying, “Hey, most cops are good!”

If just 1% of cops are crooked (there’s more than that, but let’s just suppose) that translates to more than 9,000. What if the medical industry was like this? If 9,000 doctors were killing patients rather than helping them, do you think there would be an outcry for accountability? Severe punishments? News reports? Would the ignorant just go on saying, “Hey, most doctors are good!”

Cops do it and all you hear from the ignorant is “Derp, most cops aren’t bad.” Too bad news people have fallen prey to positive police propaganda. Lester Holt and NBC News got called out for falling for North Korean propaganda. Local news folks fall for police propaganda daily. They know if they start digging into departments and finding corruption that police won’t work with them. Seems like a manipulative relationship.

There are probably more than 9000 doctors slowly killing elderly patients by over prescribing drugs... why don’t you rail on them a minute and give this a rest?

Neither are cops and that is the thing you just refuse to understand.
According to the Washington post in 2016
233 African Americans killed by police
18 were unarmed
13 were unknown
If we assume all the unknowns were unarmed then we get unarmed 31 dead. There are about 32 million Blacks over the age of 14 in America. So if we do the math the chances of a black person unarmed being killed by police was 1 in a million in 2016.

There were 83 cops directly killed by citizens in 2016. 64 were shot, 15 hit by cars while outside their car,3 beaten one stabbed. If we use the 900,000 cops number you tossed out (its reasonable) then a cop has a 1:10,843 chance of being killed by a citizen.
When we crunch those all together a cop is 92 times more likely to be killed by a citizen than an unarmed black citizen is of being killed by a cop.
Finally, he switched to a bone saw to finish the job, and at 9:17 p.m., Mountain time, the head of the greatest hitter who ever lived had been sliced off.

I don’t deal with the chronically ignorant on a daily basis, so talking down to that level challenges my abilities to dumb down my language so that it can be understood.

I guess I should be glad that you took a few seconds off lighting your own flatulence to type what you did. For you, it’s a good effort.

http://www.newsweek.com/police-shooting ... own-764787

Cops killed more than 1,100 people in 2017. A quarter of them were African American. African Americans make up 12.3% of the population in the U.S., but cops killed them at twice that percentage. Why? And don’t you dare say they commit crimes at a higher rate than other races!

78% of cops are white.

These are facts. They are our friends. I don’t have a problem with your choice to be ignorant. It’s disturbing to see how much you embrace it, though.

I would have responded sooner, but what you said sounded redundant. If I had a penny for every sentence I saw that had a reference to you and the word “sucked,” I would be a wealthy person.

Oh, and please take a shower. In fact, make it a daily habit.

Well, you can add a few more to your list of “few” corrupt cops.

I still don’t understand why you people put cops on such a high pedestal. They’re humans, not angels. Treat them as such and report them as such. NO FAVORITISM!

By the time it was over, three women were dead and three officers were injured on the city’s east side, said Detroit police. The shootings, which occurred during a 14-hour standoff that lasted from Sunday night to Monday morning, ended only when the gunman fatally shot himself.
Wonder what the ratio of corrupt police officers vs. corrupt regular citizens is?

Officers killed in the line of duty in 2018
Roughly 135 cops died in 2016, making it the deadliest year for police officers in at least five years. And while there were fewer deaths in 2017, the numbers weren’t much better: A total of 129 officers died last year. And 46 of those deaths were caused by gunfire.

Read on for a look at the officers who have died in the line of duty so far this year.

The FBI count as "cops" in my book, and their arrogance and complacency contributed to the deaths of 17 innocent citizens in S. Florida this past week.
Riding Amtrak is dangerous.
