The Tigers stink. The early winning streak was fool's gold.

This is a .500 ball club at best as currently structured.
This is hardly a great team, but better than decent pitching and a shit division means the Tigers should make things interesting all season long.
Folks said the same thing a year ago.

Usual happy talk slapdick take from McCosky.

Struggling against the awful A's DOES bode badly. They might have gotten swept by Oakland AT HOME had gascan Lucas Erceg not blown the first game of that series.

As for whether or not the division is bad, it's hard to properly evaluate it yet when the Tigers, Royals and Guardians have taken turns beating up on the woeful White Sux early on. I don't think KC is THAT much better and Cleveland is definitely off to an impressive start but losing Bieber will hurt them badly

Nice comeback win in the ninth to grab a split against a good Pirate team. Bullpen still looks solid, bats are going to have to wake up.

Twins, Rangers, Rays coming up. The next 2 weeks should be a better indication of what this Tigers team really is.

Good comeback by the Tigers today to rally in the 9TH to win it 5-3. I wouldn't be surprised if Thursday & Friday games get postponed due to rain both days unless the rain ends sometime early on Friday. But yeah the next 2 weeks will show how the Tigers will be. It will be up & down season since it is a young team.

Scott Harris gave an interview yesterday that's been getting a lot of play on 97.1, with mostly negative reactions from the hosts.

I'm impressed with the way he thinks things through, but he often has a detached, theoretical view of things. At some point, his well-publicized "process" is going to be seen as nothing but good intentions.

It would be nice to see some dominant victories, instead of all these cliffhangers.

A's take 2 of 3 against the WS Champs. In Texas. It's April....maybe we shouldn't overreact.

Tigers 8, Twins 2. Minnesota is now 4-7.

The Royals lost in Queens.

Kansas City is 8-2 in their last ten games.

Cleveland vs. NYY was a rainout.

White Sox lost 11-1 at home to Cincinnati. Chicago is now 2-11.

Nice game against the Twins for different reasons.

The Twins are the defending division champs. We're catching them at a good time, when they are one of the worst-hitting teams in the majors.

Also nice to see a dominant performance. Making those a habit gives them more of a margin for error when they hit their periodic slumps.

Tigers drop both ends of a (T)win-bill. Hmm, maybe we should keep Dickerson off TV...or at least relegate Lange to mop-up duty till he regains some command of that sinker and curve.

Looks like an up-and-down season. Just hope they can stay above .500 the whole season.

Maybe it's time to give Parker Meadows a breather in the minors. A player hitting .065 can't be kept on the major league team. Matt Vierling has shown how well he can play centerfield.

Is it too soon to declare Spencer Torkelson a bust? Christ, Baez has more homers than him.

Relax.

We’re 2 weeks into the season. We’ve played in truly 💩💩💩 weather conditions at times, with it being cold and damp in a lot of games. Did you forget how well he did last season?

Get back to me after 40 games.

And despite playing in nearly every game with over 600 ABs in the middle of the order he still couldn't reach 100 RBI or an .800 OBS. Still, he's only 24. I say give him time. He does play a good 1B.

Nothing would make me happier to say I'm wrong about him, moldy. And I understand every #1 pick isn't gonna be a Bryce Harper. But he's not shown my a H*** amount of improvement in 2+ years.
