ESPN just played audio of Karsch's Blake Corum TD call from the U-M / Alabama game.
His shrill voice sounded like that of a mouse. I didn't know a man's voice could get so high pitched. I feel embarrassed for him.

Re: Doug Karsch's play by play
I actually like his description of the action on the field a whole lot. If his play-by-play description could be paired with someone who actually possesses a great voice, that would be the perfect play-by-play man.
His shrill, screechy voice when he gets excited is like nails to a chalkboard.

I watched the game on ESPN+ w/ the Michigan radio broadcast. I'll take Doug's voice over the Washington knob-slobbing going on on the main ESPN broadcast!
