This is the story that keeps getting uglier with each passing day. There's no way Harbaugh wan't in-the-know as to what was going on.

I'm still struggling to understand the story and exactly what the problem is. Were they taping signals a la Patriots? What exactly is the issue? Are they memorizing and taking things back to Harbaugh?

I know this much. If they're stealing signals, they certainly shouldn't have gotten smoked by TCU or Georgia. Somebody's fucking up.

More importantly, how did they get caught?

According to Oakland University basketball coach Greg Kampe on last Sunday's Fox 2 Sports Works, the rule was put in place by the NCAA some twenty years ago during a lean time for universities to save money, nothing more. The rule is an anachronism, to be sure, but it's still there.

Since most of the sign-stealing allegations were regarding Big Ten schools, maybe that's an indication of how much impact it has.

Decent recap of a lot of the evidence out there:

Why is a "low-level staffer" interacting with the Michigan DC when OSU has the ball, and the OC when Michigan is on offense?

OSU changed their signals BEFORE their ass-beating last year. It's infuriating the effort some are taking to discredit this team.

As km says, BT schedules are known in advance, UM had no idea who they would be playing in the playoffs, and certainly TCU was a surprise.

Dont you find it curious this guy had purchased tickets for last weeks OSU-PSU game, on BOTH sides of the stadium?

OSU probably did change their signals. And soon found out that they were still being stolen. Which likely led OSU to think that this went way deeper than just normal in-game sign stealing. Schools change their signals all the time, but there's a pattern and a theme to them. To figure that out, you'd have to have either (A) inside knowledge or (B) do what Michigan was doing and do advance scouting of teams against multiple opponents to figure out the pattern.

Sign/signal stealing happens all of the time. Are you insinuating that this caused Michigan to dominate a soft OSU in the trenches?

As has repeatedly been discussed, sign stealing does not happen at this level all the time.

Personally, I have never questioned the talent of the Michigan football team. This year's squad is the best team in the nation, in my eyes. But I do question the character of the head coach and the program. The earlier shenanigans of Harbaugh which led to a suspension, Mazi Smiths non-suspension, Donovan Edwards, etc. They consistently bend/break the rules.

This is bullshit. Michigan has 💯 NOT "consistently bent/broken the rules." You wouldn't believe this if this were happening at Colorado State and you know it.

They have a statue of a rape enabler in front of a football building named after him.

....and you would be screaming bloody murder if this shit were happening at OSU.
