Al Michaels is going thru the motions

He doesn't know the players, sounds indifferent as hell, and just seemed shocked Philly was working for a field goal.

But a million a broadcast....

No shit. Guy's almost 80 himself. I've always liked Michaels. Collinsworth is the one I can't get into. He sounds like a pukey 80s rock DJ. Imagine him saying "Gunners and WARRANT after we take a pause for the cause on NINETY NINE ONE THE FOXXXXXXXXXX"
"Internet is no more like radio than intravenous feeding is like fine dining."

The radio broadcast with Ian Eagle is good too.

Al Michaels is 78. He has been calling games since 1968.

Michaels is a legend, but has been showing his age lately. He was decent when he was still with NBC full-time until the 2022 season, but since he moved to TNF on Prime, he's been phoning it in. I don't know if it's because the games are of lesser quality compared to SNF, but he's starting to become a shell of his former self.

Bob Cole and Marv Albert were the same way in their last few years.
