Las Vegas will need a similar setup to Chase Field in Phoenix, with a retractable roof over a natural grass surface.
Chase field hasn't had natural grass since 2019. What a very welcome change to not see H*** chunks of brown grass all over the field!

Side note: It is always fun to go to Dbacks vs Tigers games, where 80% of the fans had Tigers gear on. :)

Because it's not configured to accommodate baseball?
Neither was the L.A. Coliseum when the Dodgers moved there, but they made it work for a few years till Dodger Stadium was built. And plenty of other stadiums that were used for both sports.
I don't think any sane person thought that worked out well in the LA Coliseum.
You can always chalk out a football field in a baseball stadium but the reverse NEVER works out well.
If the stadium was built for football you just can't get an acceptable outfield shape or distance down one of the foul lines.

My apologies. I forgot they switched it around.

As someone who's attended many games there, it was such a wonderful site to see the new turf for the first time!

God damn it. I wanted to take a vacation to the bay area, visit the Golden Gate Bridge, swing by 924 Gilman St. and see an A's game (they've always been my #2 team). I can't believe Vegas is getting so much love, isn't it the country's biggest small town?
You still have at least this year and 2024. I’ll be catching an A’s and a Giants game next week.

Las Vegas Aces?
Nope. It looks like the Athletics name is heading to its fourth city.

Plus there's already the Las Vegas Aces in the WNBA.

I hope I can convince my wife to make our next vacation out there then.

We have a trip to Florida coming up in a couple weeks. Only thing I'm afraid of now is flying Spirit 🤣

Ah, bring your own lawn chair airlines - I'd avoid that at all costs.

I've flown on Spriit five times since 2019. We landed safety each time and were often early arriving at DTW.

And bring your own entertainment along with Tylenol. Flew Spirit to Vegas a few years ago and felt so sore at the end. I’ll fly Frontier/Spirit for an hour flight tops now.

Given Southwest's litany of tech and logistical issues lately, I might actually be more inclined to fly Spirit over Southwest these days.
