Re: Fred McLeod dies
Stunning news. My goodness - he just worked the Lions preseason telecasts!
My condolences to everyone at WDIV, FS Detroit and elsewhere who previously worked with or otherwise knew Mr. McLeod.
He and well known Grand Rapids newscaster Lee VanAmeyde passed within days of each other and were nearly the same age.

Goodness. I always liked his Pistons play-by-play. It was good seeing him on the Lions' preseason games, though I wouldn't have recognized the voice.
RIP

Played on the WRIF Softball team with Fred back in the early 90's, he could smash long HR's, or hit the highest infield pop-ups in softball history...lol, he always had a beer with us regular guys too at Mr. Joe's in Southfield after our games, this is the time I believe he and Beth got married...(??), he was a good guy, this was stunning news when I heard it today....RIP Fred....
