This is the second game with 3 errors in a game for this team this season. Yes, they won.

They still have no hitter above .300. The starting rotation cannot carry this team.

I am sorry, but this team will not stay above .500 if they don’t grab a few bats in a trade. The defense must get better. The bullpen is average.

They actually committed FOUR errors yesterday! This after committing only three in the first ten games. Baez at SS is an adventure.

But have you ever seen a low trajectory line drive slice through the wind and leave the ballpark as fast as Vierling's ultimate game-winning three-run blast? Zowee! :D

Here's a list of non-pitcher free agents for 2025. Players on poorly performing teams will probably be available at the trade deadline. At first glance, Paul Goldschmidt, Alex Bregman, or Josh Bell might help give the Tigers a salary drive boost over the second half of the season.

My wife and I went to the game last night. Christmas gift from the kids.

At least 3 maybe 4 times a Jared Goff chant engulfed the stadium. Started in the 2nd inning I think when the Tigers were down by 3 and had committed 3 errors at that point.
It was going on loudly as the game was over and fans were exiting the park.

I joked that we went to a Jared Goff rally and a baseball game broke out.

That's pretty cool. The level of excitement in downtown Detroit must have been incredible yesterday, with the beautiful weather, the last day of the NFL draft, and a big comeback by the Tigers.

True. I have never seen a ball with that low of a trajectory leave the yard.

I know it's early, but Jack Flaherty is dealing to his old team the Cardinals; he has struck out the first six batters he's faced!

(Edit)
Make that first SEVEN batters he's faced.:

(Edit #2)
He's struck out TWELVE through five innings!

(Edit #3)
Flaherty's day ends with a career high FOURTEEN punchouts in 6 2/3 innings and hanging on to a 1-0 lead.

The Tigers lost 2-1. Shelby Miller gave up three hits and two earned runs in the 9th.

Detroit had no offense (4 hits, 13 Strikeouts) and only scored on a Riley Greene HR.

Still have game two tonight. Detroit is now 6-9 at home.

Tell me when it's allowed to call Spencer .215 Torkelson a bust.

I'll hang up and listen.

The Tigers losing that game is disgraceful. I feel horrible for Flaherty.

The bullpen's been on a downward trajectory lately. That will make it harder for this team to keep coming from behind.

Lotta Love for Riley Greene right now. I just hope these dramatic catches in left field don't limit him to less than 100 games, like they did last year.
