On a side-note, what a night and day difference between the Fox Sports play-by-play crew and ESPN's B-team Monday night crew! I like Chris Spielman as color commentator - he gives great insight into how the game is played and makes it understandable to the average person.
I really enjoyed how many times Chris Spielman, who has played pro football, corrected Thom Brennaman, who has never played any ball acording to Wikipedia, about the thinking and calls of different plays.

The Browns now have a better record than the Lions. Think about that.

Even before the Browns won last night, they still had a better record than the Lions. 0-1-1 > 0-2

I'll think about that if it is true after 10 games. Assuming the Lions lose Sunday and are 0-3 its pretty likely the Browns will look better after 10 games but its not worth a "think about that" after 2-3 games.

So how 'bout them Lions? Where did THAT Lions team come from? They DOMINATED the Patriots almost the entire game.

Now let’s see them repeat that a couple times... great win though...

Lions go over New England 26-10.

The Vikings fall 27-6 (!) to Buffalo of all teams.

The Packers (who seem to be mediocre at best so far, but still) fall 31-17 to the Redskins.

And now leading the division? Answer: D) None of the above.

Thus concludes the Sunday From Bizarro World.

Upsets can happen any time. More so in the NFL than college because the difference between good teams and bad teams is much smaller.
I think the biggest take away for me is that this may be an off year for New England and at Brady's age does that mean an end of an era? It's been a long time since I didn't see New England as a member of a short list of Super bowl contenders.

Not buying the Lions. It’s one game. I could see the pathetic Cowboys beating them.

You see the Lions beating the Patriots and automatically think H*** upset, but honestly the Pats look like shells of their former selves. The week before they got manhandled by Jacksonville, who then lost at home to Tennessee.

No idea what happened to the Vikings against Buffalo, looked like they didn't even bother showing up.

Packers look like shit. If not for Rodgers they'd be 0-3, and Rodgers is playing on one leg. Replacing Dom Capers didn't fix that defense.

Bears have beaten two bad teams and are much improved, but still don't have much of an offense. Lions are very much alive in this division.

Soon as Tate scored with just over 2 minutes left I knew it was all over for Detroit.

That run defense is going to be a real problem the rest of the season.

Same old Lions, losing to bad teams.

Thanks to a lot of slip-ups by Green Bay (who, in fact, looked more like they didn't bother even being competitive), the Lions improved to 2-3.

For three days in January 2017 (15th, 16th, 19th) and one night in September 2017 (22nd), I managed to receive KDKA Pittsburgh from 202 miles away indoors!

We're at 3-3 and as a result of a Bears loss we're tied with them in the division. The next three games are going to be tough though...Seahawks, Vikings and Bears.

We looked good today though overall...

I can't bee-LEEVE what a difference a running game can make in our offense! :eek Taking out Johnson's early 71-yard scamper, he and Blount still averaged almost five yards a carry!
There were times yesterday when we actually looked like a well-oiled machine -- shredding their D-line and exploiting their young LBs. We actually overcame some ticky-tack penalties as if they didn't happen!
However, we still need to improve red zone efficiency...and another failed two-point conversion. :rolleyes
Great to see TE Michael Roberts make his presence felt (2 TDs and almost a third!); I've been waiting to see this since we drafted him.

Defense looked good, too! :hat It was good seeing a few sackerinos for a change.

It was a good win. As a lions fan the best I can muster is guardedly hopeful the new coach and the New England pedigree will make a difference long term If it does its too bad it comes in year 10 of Staffords career.

As a sucker of the 2007 start, I agree. I've seen situations where I'd say to myself "There's NO. WAY. The Lions can blow this", and then they do. I won't believe fully until I see them win the Super Bowl.

I will admit, however, it is encouraging to see them with a running game, converting those third downs. That was a main gripe with me for a long time. They couldn't covert those third downs for squat. The punter would see the most action on the day. But we didn't lose to teams that we would lose to normally, even in name only. You could mark down that the NE game would be a loss three weeks before it was played. And even in the shape the Pats are in now. Yet we somehow pull it off. Aaron Rodgers is like Lazarus, especially against the Lions. GB could be down 100-0, 4th quarter, 2:00 left, and still win 101-100. The Dolphins, I'm not so sure on them, as they came in 4-2, but dat running game tho...I'll leave it at that I'm encouraged and proceeding with cautious optimism.

The biggest difference this year though is they seem to be, for the first time ever, disciplined. Far fewer stupid mistakes and stupid penalties. It was also nice to watch them dominate a game from start to finish. That is extremely rare with this team.
