Re: WOOD TV 70 Year Special
Wasn't her departure from WOOD rather sudden and controversial?

No kidding. Looked at their website with all the self-stroking celebration stories and not one word about her. Persona non grata. Banished.imstudwell wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2019 6:29 amSo where was Suzan Geha?

Love her or hate her and regardless under what terms she departed, the woman brought a whole bunch of eyeballs (translation: money) to that business for a long damn time. Quite classless not to acknowledge her contribution.
Re: WOOD TV 70 Year Special
Yeah surprised not to see Suzan Geha on 70 years promos on Wood TV.

Sounds like WOOD's 70th anniversary special was a farce. Geha was the female face of the news operation for damn near three decades. WOOD says a "scheduling conflict" prevented her from appearing. Give me a break.
It would be like WZZM doing such a special without Lee Van Ameyde or WWMT doing such a special without Judy Markee!
Were any of the following people present?
News
Linda White
Larry Nienhaus
Liz Vega
Cynthia Grebe
Alan Gionet
Jennifer Moss
Lynn Carthane
(I know Tom Van Howe was present.)
Weather
Rod Hill
Dennis Hodges
Dave Carmichael
Mick O'Hearn
Mace Rogers
Joe Sullivan
Keith Monahan
(I already know Craig James was present.)
Sports
Glenn Eckelkamp (hope I spelled his name correctly)
Dave Johnson
Matt Winer
Jason Terzis
Morgan Wallen is a piece of garbage.

Re: WOOD TV 70 Year Special
WOOD has a 70th Anniversary photo gallery on their website that includes some photos of Geha, but that's it:

Re: WOOD TV 70 Year Special
Even the photo gallery is lame as hell.
WZZM did such a better job with its 50th anniversary celebration a number of years back than WOOD-TV did with its 70th anniversary celebration...
I suppose WOOD will have another stab at it in five more years when they reach the big 7-5.

Re: WOOD TV 70 Year Special
Seems obvious to me that Nexstar, with annual revenue of $1 billion, could have hired Suzi's production company to help with the anniversary special. That's a way you show appreciation and respect.

Re: WOOD TV 70 Year Special
That was my thought, too. This seemed really kind of cobbled together relative to both WZZM's and WOOD's own 50th anniversary specials. Hell, WZZM's 35th anniversary special in 1997 was better.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2019 8:37 pmEven the photo gallery is lame as hell.

Re: WOOD TV 70 Year Special
They could've labeled the pictures by year as well...
