With Disney buying Fox...

Post by Deleted User 7620 » Sat Mar 16, 2019 9:16 am

They should revive the now defunct Fox Kids. They could have some Disney cartoons on it, as well as the Star Wars cartoon, Resistance.

Instead of having it network wide, just have it on the Fox O&Os for a trial run. If it’s successful, than yes, make it network wide.

I say instead of having up on Saturday mornings, have it on weekday afternoons for like a month to see how it does.

I know stations like WJBK, WAGA, and WTTG will have to free up Their schedules, but it can be done.

I do think ABC has intentions on bringing Animation to their network lineup to compete with the Simpsons. Not saying for sure it will happen. It’s just a hunch, that’s all.

It will never happen all Fox O&O’s have to much money on the News blocks to just toss it out the window. And besides there’s a ton of children’s programs on other sources. This is not the 70’s and 80’s anymore.

Cartoons on regular network television, Let’s just bring back Top 40 radio to the AM dial, It just isn’t going to fly in the 21st century.

Disney isn't getting the Fox television network, the Fox O&O stations, the Fox News Channel nor the national Fox Sports Networks.

The part of 21st Century Fox that Disney bought was mainly the Fox movie studio, its film rights, part of Hulu and the regional sports networks. And it has to divest the regional sports networks.

So cartoons on Fox O&O would be moot.
Because if it wasn't there would have to be a big divetiture of ABC or Fox O&O stations by Disney in the biggest markets.

I'm sure Disney does not want to draw viewers away from afternoon cartoons on the Disney Channels and its online platforms.
And I'm sure Fox O&Os would not want to lose their adult aimed lead-ins to their early evening newscasts.
Judge Judy is on at 4pm on Fox2 for a reason.

As I said before, there is a push to get cartoons back to network television. May not happen in the near future, but there’s a push, none the less. Some people seem to want to go back to the old days, lol.

In all seriousness, I can see Fox starting a network talk show before having cartoons. I can see them doing it in the 1 or 2 o’clock afternoon hour.

The 4pm hour is generally left for the affiliates.

There’s also a push to bring 8-Tracks back along with the horse and buggy and a push to bring back the sundial. Please move forward Son never backwards.

Some want the old days. I’m not going to make fun of anyone who want to relive their childhood memories. It’s their perogative. It’s a free country.

They spun Fox Kids off as Jetix, and now it's own channel "Disney XD"

Also, Saban has been buying back some of it's old children's library, like Power Rangers.

How could you even have the block without Power Rangers?

Why would Hasbro want it?
