Yeah? When I saw SAG, I thought it was about Hillary's tits.
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

Not sure why SAG and AFTRA don't just create a deal where both charge members 30% of their gross annually then redistribute it equally to all their members. That would cover all the poor folks who might lose their apartments or houses.

Being a longtime photographer and seeing my stuff reused by others with no permission or remittance of any kind when they find it on line (with my name attached). I can understand the actors who in some ways face the same thing. I got this from a former actor the other day and it sums up the position of the heads of the industry.

I'm glad the actors are striking. Most actors are not superstars, and the production companies are trying to screw them over. (They want to have ownership of actors' likenesses to use in projects in perpetuity but only pay them for the initial day's work. An actor should own their likeness because even if they don't have to show up to work, they might lose out on other jobs for being too recognizable and affiliated with something else. They also don't want to pay fair residuals for content that is streamed.) NYT's critic wrote a great opinion piece about the reality of the strikes (SAG-AFTRA and WGA) that's worth a read

A good summary of the situation I think.
