Looks like you have a beautiful, warm home, TT. Your neighborhood looks gorgeous.

When we first came here ten years ago, this was a nice, working class neighbourhood. But now it's in decline. Over the past two years, every home that comes on the market gets bought up by out of town investors for rental property.

Renters don't give a damn. They don't mow the lawn. Just let it grow up in weeds. Derelict vehicles sitting in the driveway with flat tires and leaking oil. Some places have more than one family living in.

We left our old neighbourhood ten years ago because it was going that way. Now this one is too. I had hoped to stay here until they have to carry me off. But now it looks like we might have to move again.

So sorry to hear that. I would expect that in an American city, but not a Canadian one.

Just came in from watching the fireworks. They were at a nearby park so we were able to watch from our front porch. An impressive display, but I don't really think we needed any more smoke in the air.

Kinda the same thing here. I didn't see any bonfire or fire pit going last night.

Stumbled in to Canada Day about 25 years while driving through Canada. Had a very nice time in Toronto, walking up and down that big main street between the government buildings and downtown.
