It sucks. It's about 70º here and we have to have the windows closed and A/C on...

Not horrible where I am today. Glad it clears up before I get home.

Down in my neck of the woods we have air quality alerts everywhere and the smoke has reduced visibility and the smell is harsh. They say it will clear out Thursday.

Up to 308 in Kalamazoo. "Dangerous -Any exposure to the air, even for a few minutes, can lead to serious health effects on everybody. Avoid outdoor activities."

Sault Sainte Marie was around 350 (!!!) before dawn this morning.

It is just shy of 200 in Birmingham right now, and I cannot stand to breathe outdoor air right now. It smells like butane and smoke. I can only imagine how miserable it must be outstate, where in many instances the readings are worse than here.

Anyone spending time outside for an extended period should use an N95 mask until the air quality readings improve.

The PM2.5 reading in Kalamazoo as of this writing is around 220.

Baseball games in the region are being cancelled; I know the Whitecaps game for tonight near Grand Rapids has been rescheduled.

Heads up if you are in Lambton County or nearby St. Clair County. This is the worst I've ever seen by far.

It legitimately looks like a fog, or almost like a mistake, here in Brighton.

As someone that works outdoors, I can't say I've noticed anything too outrageous other than the haze. I may not smell it, but I can sure as hell see it.

My area has that same smell that MW described. The latest Port Huron AQ index is 223.

I could smell it today. It didn't bother me. There are worse smells.

But tonight in the house, I feel sniffly.

Downtown today the tops of the taller buildings were shrouded in haze.

I’m stuffed up and have a headache.. most likely it’s the smoke.
