I nominate TT. It keeps the show international. ;)

I'll go with Ken Jennings. He's very likable, personable, and would put the contestants at ease. My alternatives are Dan Patrick, LaVar Burton, and John O'Hurley.

I'm afraid I can't get the image of O'Hurley as J. Peterman out of my head. :razz I'll also go with Ken Jennings who is so identified with the show as the GOAT. The question is (or is it "The answer is?") can he bring the on-air confidence and special panache to the game reading the clues as he did responding to them?

I think Ben Stein should be considered. He might be too old now though.
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

Stein will turn 76 on the 25th, so I doubt it.

Ken Jennings get's my vote.

LeVar Burton's air filter glasses would be a distraction.

Burton, Patrick and O'Hurley are all almost as old as Stein. Whoever gets the job isn't going to be someone who will only be around for another 10-15 years.

Like Sajak, Trebek was almost a kid when he started this gig. My gut is it's going to be a younger person.
Maybe Jennings. Perhaps someone even younger than him.

If betting odds are to be believed, Ken Jennings is the heavy favorite (50/50) with only George Stephanopoulos and Neil deGrasse Tyson as the other 2 people with better than 15:1 odds.

I will say the same thing as I did about the Price Is Right. The show should have ended after Bob Barker left. Same should be for Jeopardy now that Alex Trebek is no longer with us. Those hosts were the show. The legacy of those shows should be protected.

I understand that you can't replace either Bob or Alex. But the show will still go on as the ratings are big, and the show makes a lot of money. Drew Carey has done a great job filling Bob's shoes and has made the show his own. I know Bob, like Alex, had a unique style that's hard to replace. I'm sure Jeopardy will search very well for picking a new host. It won't be the same without Alex, though.
