Nice looking dog. What is its breed?

That doesn't look like a cell phone pic.

The Bear is a black long coated German Shepherd.

No, for these shots I used one of my Nikon's with a off camera strobe to bring out the shine in his fur.

Makes me so happy to hear. He was a unwanted rescue dog that people over looked. What he has become makes me feel warm and fuzzy all over.

What's the trick to get him to pose so perfectly?

Training. He is currently at 72 commands that he obeys a little over 80 percent. The latest is pushing the cross walk buttons before crossing the street.

Currently, I'm in the process of teaching him to bring me a beer from the fridge. He opens the door perfectly, he just doesn't bring me the beer every time.

Don't feel bad.

I'm pretty good at training dogs. I suck at training wives.

There's a dog obedience school I often go by in Florida. They call it "Sit Means Sit." On their sign they say "Sorry, we can't train your husband, your wife or your kids."

I had one much like that but with a white coat. Found her at MHS. She was supposed to had been euthanized but the techs loved her so much, she won a reprieve from the needle THREE times before I showed up.
