Thank God I didn't hear that...

What IS the big thrill with Joan Jett anyway? I feel like I hear one of her two hit songs constantly, no matter what. 94.7, 94.9, 100.3, 103.9, 104.3, 104.7, 106.7....I.may be forgetting a station or two, but it's still a daily occurrence!!!

Fkn Nickelback. And here I thought they'd have been consigned to the dustbin of AC radio. Damn.

I'm fine with "How You Remind Me", but ONLY that song.

Here's a old 1986 WLLZ commerical with the real Dick the Bruiser..........

Just a thought .....isnt there anyone out there that can do voices like George Baier did.Bill Mccalister would be a good straight man like JJ was way back when.

I won the $10k playing WLLZ Of Fortune in 1988.

If I could have afforded Specs in 1980 Steve I would have been.I have a great passion for the business even after all these years.I can talk the business for hours like you and i did posting back and forth. That was so enjoyable for me since you were there and worked at so many great stations.I love hearing all those great stories.

But as you know passion and ideas dont count in todays radio environment.

Yes, The Kingbees excellent group and can’t forget The Kings “Switching To Glide” and The Split Endz all this was from 1980 or there about, Mega you have great tastes.
Wrong again. The band was the Kings . The Kingbees had one mediocre hit with My Mistake .

Yes. I still have the check stub in an old memorabilia bag as I was young and it was by far the biggest check I'd ever received at that time. That and because at the time many people I knew didn't believe me.

And both were great LP’s, How about the group 707, Familiar with them the big tune from 707 “I Could Be Good For You” 1980

I am familiar with that one, just don't have it on any physical formats. Another great AOR tune from back when.

WLLZ back when it premiered in ‘80 had the 707 tune in heavy rotation, I used to crank that one up in the studio.
