Back In My Day....

Post by Calvert DeForest » Sat Nov 04, 2017 7:57 pm

Seems when I was a junior pup, I heard that phrase from my elders all the time. At the time I just rolled my eyes.

Now that I'm old(er), I find myself uttering it more and more. Some examples:

Back in my day, parents called their kids the remote control.

Back in my day, cutting the cord was what the doctor did when you were born.

Back in my day, a big-screen TV was something delivered on a forklift.

Back in my day, the net was something we chased the butterflies with.

Back in my day, the Friday after Thanksgiving was called....the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Okay, how would you complete the sentence?

Go!

Back in my day, kids actually got together and hung out...IN PERSON. Not with a headset on, sitting in front of a screen

Back in my day cocaine use was rampant and straight people were scared to death of AIDS.
