Is a collection agency calling every 2 hours a violation of FDCPA?

I have never seen someone so determined to get 68 dollars before. Like ffs

If you owe it and its only $68 why not pay it?

As I've stated before, I had to leave all 3 of my jobs due to medical issues and I have no income.
I can't grow money.
And applying for SSD has been a nightmare, so do not mention that.

Do a go fund me, Seems like everyone is doing it today, Not trying to be funny but it’s worth a shot. As far as SS Disability goes good luck, My Niece has been fighting for hers for over 3 years now and finally she has a hearing date in April, And she’s still not sure if she’ll get hers. Oh, she has an attorney and it’s taking this long, but again Good Luck!

I know I can do that, I actually have a built in one and I have blocked it. I can still see the calls that were autoblocked. I'm just curious if calling every 2 hours would be classified as harassment or not.

The FDCPA guidelines aren't specific.

You should be able to google your answer but in general they are allowed to leave one message daily and one other attempt to talk to you directly. That all depends on if it is 1st, 2nd, or 3rd party collections....Again, google will have the exact information.

I literally just said I know the FDCPA guidelines.
They don't specify the number of calls a day.

I was typing when you posted that...Simple question. Is it an agency or the actual company that is calling you?

It's an agency calling

So an agency bought your debt at a discount and now they want to make their money. I can have some sympathy for your situation but if you owe and can't pay view annoying calls as interest on your debt.

Ok, an agency, according to my oldest who runs a loan portfolio for a major bank and deals with collections, they can leave one message a day and continue to try and make contact with you in person. so while annoying as hell it is barely within the rules. If they do break the collection rules you do have recourse.
