It’s a meth-in-the-bathroom kind of day

NICEVILLE – A couple suspected of doing methamphetamine in the bathroom of a local park was arrested July 27.

The man, who is 32 and from Freeport, was charged with possession of drug equipment, while the 22-year-old Niceville woman was charged with possession of drugs and paraphernalia.

The man drove to Lion’s Park and went into the men’s restroom, where his female companion joined him a few minutes later.

A Niceville Police Department officer saw them enter, according to their arrest reports.

After they failed to come out, he suspected them to be inside using narcotics.

The officer waited for the couple to come out and noticed that the woman did not have items she’d carried into the restroom.

They searched and found a meth pipe and suspected meth, the report said.

The man had a pipe on him and two syringes in the trunk of his car.

Man charged after pipe found in pants pocket, says pants aren’t his

NICEVILLE — A man who claimed his pants weren’t his was arrested after authorities found a glass pipe with white residue inside his pocket.

Officers responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle on Oct. 25 and found two men, one inside the vehicle and one outside and on the sidewalk, according to arrest reports from the Niceville Police Department. A K9 alerted one officer to drugs in the vehicle, and the officer discovered drug paraphernalia and white residue that field-tested positive for methamphetamines.

Another officer asked the man on the sidewalk if he had anything on his person, and the man replied the clothes he was wearing did not belong to him. He gave the officer consent to search his person.

The officer found a glass pipe with a white residue in his front pants pocket.

The man said he “had no idea who the pipe belonged to” and that he had gotten the pants from the trunk of the car.

He was arrested with drug equipment possession, a misdemeanor. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and charged with drug equipment possession and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, a felony.

BLOTTER: ‘You (expletive) bit my (slang for ‘breast’)′

NICEVILLE — A man was arrested for domestic violence after arguing with a woman, biting her, taking her phone and keys and running into her apartment

The argument started when the woman went outside in her apartment complex to walk her dog, according to an arrest report from the Niceville Police Department. She was approached by the 26-year-old man, who later told deputies he had been living with the woman for a couple of weeks. He proceeded to grab her “aggressively” by the arms and remove her phone from her bra. He also took her bank card and house keys before running into the apartment and shutting the door.

The victim said she bit the man during the struggle in an effort to get him off her. A witness told officers the man apparently had also been biting the woman, because she heard the victim yell “You’re (expletive) hurting me” and “You (expletive) bit my (slang for ‘breast’).” An officer observed red marks and bruising on the victim.

The man told officers he had been staying with the victim for a couple of weeks and was trying to leave to go back home to Tennessee, but the victim broke his phone so he had to use hers. He then told officers he never had the woman’s phone in the first place.

Due to his conflicting statements, two witness statements and the victim’s bruising and statements, the man was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery touch or strike.

Drunk Waffle House customer passes out, wakes up, becomes profane

NICEVILLE – A Crestview man who fell asleep in a Waffle House and didn’t wake up for more than an hour was arrested and charged with trespassing.

The 36-year-old man also faces charges of disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest.

According to his Niceville Police Department arrest report, the man had been asked to leave four times by employees. He told them he was too intoxicated to go anywhere, the report said.

When the officer arrived, he found the man passed out at one of the tables. He attempted to wake the suspect, who was lethargic and had slurred speech, the report said.

He then became irate and profane, complaining he had no one to pick him up.

At that point, the officers cuffed him and told him he was under arrest for trespassing. He was belligerent and combative, kicking the door of the restaurant as they forced him out. This incident happened in the early morning hours.

NICEVILLE — A woman was arrested after throwing a full water bottle on her significant other during a drunken argument, police say.

According to a Niceville Police Department arrest report, the couple returned home from a local bar and began fighting. The fight turned physical when the woman threw a steel water bottle at the victim while he was in bed, drenching him with water. The man still had wet hair when an officer arrived at the scene.

The 39-year-old woman said she threw the bottle not in self-defense, but in anger after the man pushed her around their home and destroyed her television. During questioning, however, the woman was hesitant to answer questions.

She was determined to be the primary aggressor and was arrested on one count of misdemeanor battery.

NICEVILLE — A man was arrested after he admitted to buying beer for a pair of teenagers.

According to a report from the Niceville Police Department, in late April a man observed his 15-year-old son and his son’s friend drinking Busch beer in the back yard of their home. He asked his son where he got the beer, and his son told him they gave a neighbor $20 and asked him to buy beer for them.

The 15-year-old son said they asked the neighbor because they had previously found and returned the man’s lost go-kart.

Police spoke with the neighbor, a 42-year-old Niceville man, who admitted he agreed to buy the teens beer because they found his lost go-kart.

Police then learned the man was on probation for a previous possession of a controlled substance charge.

He was arrested for violation of probation and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
