Amazon. My first ever experience with online shopping went horribly wrong. From now on I stick to conventional retail stores.
What did you do?

It's not what I did. It's what Amazon didn't do. They didn't send the goods. I'm out sixty-two bucks.

My bad. They did deliver and they delivered on time. I just didn't find the package until several hours after the deadline had passed.

I'm new to Amazon and I didn't know about the find the package game. Fortunately, for newcomers like me, you can go online and get a clue. Once I had that, I found it within ten minutes.

If I order again, I don't think they'll outsmart me the next time.

Not a receiver. Just something boring. Privacy screening to go on the chainlink fence behind our place here.

We used to frequent Applebee's until two years ago, when we visited one in Largo FL. My chicken breast was seasoned with something sweet and tangy. It reminded me of something vaguely familiar which I couldn't quite identify. But I worked my way through it and when I got to the other end of it, I cut off a piece and it tasted good. It didn't have the seasoning. Immediately I knew exactly what I had been tasting. It was Raid. They had been spraying it around in the kitchen and some had ended up on my food. That was the end of my Applebee years.

Drove by there this week and the Applebees is no longer there. I like to think my scathing review precipitated the closing but, in reality, it was probably something more mundane. Like they ran out of fly spray.

A Starbucks now occupies the building. A no class diner replaced by a coffee shop for pretentious, middle class types.

More like highbrow lefties... upper class edumacated types... you seem to confuse the two regularly.

Sounds like one bad experience at a specific location turned you off an entire chain

Earth Fare. I was in today for the first and last time. It's a supermarket down here selling overpriced food to phony, middle class types who fancy themselves to be a little more healthy and a little more socially conscious than the rest of us.. Gluten free, lactose free, peanut free, GMO free, hormone free, antibiotic free, carbon footprint free, political incorrectness free, nutrition free.

Wont be going back again. They aren't the crowd with whom I want to be rubbing shoulders

Why do you presume them to be middle class? That’s not what they are.

They're definitely not working class. I was probably the only working class guy in there. I could almost see their noses crinkling up when they saw me. Didn't see a lot of high end vehicles in the parking lot that would suggest upper class.

What I did see was people wearing clothing with labels on the outside instead of on the inside. Columbia, Nike, Tommy Hilfinger. May as well be wearing a badge that says "I'm middle class."

Never thought of that. Should take a marker pen and write Tommy Hilfinger across the ass.
