This isn't a new addition to the list. They've been there since 2010, when they killed 11 workers and poisoned the Gulf of Mexico.
Yeah... That green color sucks too.

With all the bad news in the world from Iran, to the Ukraine, to Greece and even, Niceville, there is finally a bright spot I can report.

I can now remove the infamous Fireplace Restaurant in Largo Florida from my dishonourable list. Seems that someone took the joint's name too seriously. It burned down over the weekend.

No real loss there. Only the match.
Largo strip mall fire destroys Fireplace Restaurant

LARGO -- The incident occurred after midnight July 5th and quickly spread to neighboring businesses. The fire spanned the entire building.

Multiple units were dispatched to combat the blaze. According to reports, the roof of the structure collapsed. One firefighter was injured after suffering exhaustion and was attended to by EMTs at the scene.

Authorities have not released what caused the fire.

Broken foot. This is the second time I've had one and I hate it.

It's been almost a week now, so it's starting to mend. There is no longer much pain associated with it but I have to strap on this big clunky boot every day. It really limits my mobility. I can get around the house OK, but there's no going for walks.

Spend most of my time on the front porch reading or doing crossword and Sudoku. I'm going stir-crazy.

Broken foot. I never want another one. :rolleyes

Speedway.

They have TV in their gas pumps. As if the price of gas and the humiliation they put their customers through wasn't enough, now they want to make us watch TV.

I'll see your speedway and raise you Olive Garden... They now have tablets on all tables that function as menu's, order stations, server fetchers and cash out stations (it'll swipe your card and give you a receipt). It kind of ruins whatever ambiance there may have never been there.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be sure to avoid. It.

I think I've ordered pizza online twice. I always call or stop in. And no, I don't want a drone dropping my food in the driveway either.

McDonalds Restaurant #02336 Seminole FL.

Bill total was $12.36. Paid the guy with 2 fives and 3 ones. He held each of the bills up to the light to examine them for authenticity. I'm not a criminal and I resent being treated like a suspect.

There's no good way to authenticate 1's by holding them up to light... They have no strip or faces to see using light. The 5's I can understand but a marking pen is better. Feeling them is the best way of all really. If it feels like a photocopy it's probably not real.

That said I doubt you're carrying any photocopies with you TT....

Having worked there before I'm not sure what that means since I know how prices get set...

Don't they jack prices in morning then drop them by afternoon?

The prices are set by the store manager going around to the other stations in the area and conducting a "gas survey". Then the information is entrered in and somebody in Ohio sends a message to the registers that says "gas price change". Sometimes it holds, sometimes it goes down and sometimes it goes up. In my experience more often than not it moves every few days. Thing is it depends on what's around. A Costco is gonna make it lower than a bunch of independent stations in that average which is gonna effect the price. Other places, like Meijer do surveys too...

Jimmy John's.

Went there Saturday for the first and last time.

They had the music pounding so loud, I had to shout my order at the guy so he could hear me. Then we had to listen to it rattling the windows while we ate.

The only drinks they sell are sodas, iced tea and bottled water. No milk or juices.

They don't heat their subs. Just hand it to you ice cold, like something from a mausoleum.

That's it for Jimmy John's.

Never again.

The sandwiches are quite good and are not meant to be heated... What's to understand and who wants milk or juice?
