The Livingston County sheriff said this proposal is all about big business.

Yep, the big business that cops profit from stealing from people who now have “illegal” marijuana. Through civil asset forfeiture, cops can take all your stuff simply because they suspect you have marijuana. No crime. No conviction. Just stealing your stuff, selling it, and taking all the money.

Cops know this. It’s a sweet setup for them. They want to keep this racket going and keep you ignorant.

No shit. Not like Livingston county has much else to do. Take away the weed and enforcement will be cut back drastically. I still can't believe Green Oak Twp and Northfield Twp have their own police forces. For what? 20 people live there combined.

Anything to give cops less rope to hang innocent, unarmed citizens with.
