Motley Crue 1994 missed opportunity

Post by Deleted User 14990 » Mon Apr 29, 2019 8:31 pm

As many know, in 1992 Vince Neil was fired or quit(depending on you ask) Motley Crue. So... They got a new Vocalist, a guy from a band called The Scream named John Corabi. Which result in Motley Crue's self titled album or Motley Crue 1994.

Musically, it showed what Tommy Lee and Mick Mars could really do. Corbai brought more substance to the music, Misunderstood is a great song IMO. However, it left people scratching there heads. The Motley Crue fans wanted to hear about having a good time and getting pussy and fans of Grunge wanted nothing to do with The Name Motley Crue.

Decent Album, wrong name, and bad timing. If Motley 94 had come out a few years later, I think it would have been hit.

The song "Hooligan's Holiday" went to # 10 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Charts & the song "Misunderstood" went to # 24 (Mainstream Rock) in 1994.

Great tracks! My favorite is Welcome to the numb and Poison Apples. I've at least turned 2 people on to this album.
