A good portion of S.W. Ontario is actually a 20. The Canadian shield up north is only about a 2. I like how they included Canada, Mexico, Alaska, and Hawaii instead just focusing on the lower 48 states.

N. America AM Ground Conductivity Map
Re: N. America AM Ground Conductivity Map
Lake St. Clair is 40 on that map.
Inland, in many areas of Michigan, it is much less than M-3. On Long Island, which is 0.5 on M-3, measured radials are way below 0.1, the lowest conductivity on the graph. The radials were near Patchougue, near where Billy Joel grew up, halfway out Long Island.

[*] would like to see the map but my computer can't download it
Re: N. America AM Ground Conductivity Map
Look at the conductivity data for WLIM 1580 Patchogue, NY, on Long Island. M-3 says 0.5 for Long Island. Almost all the readings for WLIM are BELOW the 0.1 mS/m curve in the ground wave chart, and substantially. 0.05 mS/m would fit the data better.
