Since there's a 2022 predictions thread for Detroit, I decided to start one for the state as a whole.
- At least two of the new FM construction permits awarded from the recent commercial auction sign on before the end of 2022
- WGVU-FM drops HD Radio fully with their shuttering of Real Oldies
- At least two AMs besides GVSU's two AMs turn their licenses in
- 98.7 in Detroit becomes WWJ-FM
- The $$ spent on political ads will vastly exceed that of 2018 (the last midterm election)
- At least one existing country station shifts to classic country, dropping the recent pop country songs
- A third market in Michigan launches ATSC 3.0 tests
Acceptable registrations in the queue through April 26 at 9:00p ET have now been activated. Enjoy! -M.W.

2022 Statewide predictions
Re: 2022 Statewide predictions
I am curious why you think that 98.7 will become WWJ-FM? Do you have some "insight" into this? What format would it be?
Re: 2022 Statewide predictions
I predict that some of your predictions will not be correct.
