AOC's Communist Views and Plans are going to cost the Democrats the 2020 election, unless they cheat, of course.

I’m curious as to how this is a communist manifesto. Or are you just another troll throwing words around because you hate anything that is slightly different than you?

There is an article in this morning’s WSJ that talks about what Socialism is and how what the New Democratic - Socialists in Washington are proposing are two VERY different things. Would post a link, but it’s behind a paywall. Will try to copy and paste later.

No. I'm a Bird Dog.

Can anyone listen to this new Green Agenda and NOT think it is Communistic? How else will they enforce these rules other than by Communist tyranny?

BTW, will AOCD still be allowed to fly as America's first Communist President?

Full text of the Green New Deal can be found here:

http://www.gp.org/gnd_full
The centerpiece of the Green New Deal is a commitment to transition to 100% clean, renewable energy by 2030. The transition to clean energy is not only a visionary plan for a better world, it’s absolutely necessary to ensure we have a world at all.
Elimination of all fossil fuels by 2030? This chick is nuts. Even Nancy Pelosi knows this plan is a loser.

Nancy Pelosi isn't all that impressed. Asked about the "Green New Deal" in an interview with Politico on Wednesday, Pelosi dropped this amazing bit of shade on it:
"It will be one of several or maybe many suggestions that we receive. The green dream, or whatever they call it, nobody knows what it is, but they're for it, right?"

The new Environmentally Friendly Alexandria Ocasio Cortez Continuous Positive Airway Pressure machine. Only a few problems so far.

1) You have to sleep outside.
2) You have to sleep in the daytime like a vampire.
3) It won't work on cloudy days.

Replacing fossil fuels with 100% clean, renewable energy isn't realistic. I would also imagine this form of energy would cost consumers a lot more than fossil fuels. Why should we as citizens and consumers be forced to pay more for energy just because some nut jobs want it to be clean and renewable??

If all the items to produce power were used the need for fossil fuels would be much less. I just saw a video of of something that looked like a paddle wheel that lays on the bottom of a stream or river and it generates power continually. Day, night, Summer, Winter don't matter. No need for storage.

The whole change of 'my perception of the world' for a lot of folks is probably the same as felt by many at the dawn of the industrial age.

It reminds me of a friend who had to have some pre cancerous work done. The Dr ask how he felt. My friend replied, "It beats the alternative.."

At age 44, John F Kennedy declared that we were going to the Moon. Eisenhower declared, "To spend $40 billion to reach the Moon is just nuts." Goldwater worried that a civilian space program would divert spending on the military. We went to the moon and according to one published study, America received many benefits. "The Apollo program delivered benefits to 6,300 inventions that we use on a daily basis such as microwaves, satellites, and computing to air treatment and countless other spinoffs. They launched industries such as Intel that were impossible before NASA. It created optimism in the public and in future consumers."

I'm reading your comments about the Green New Deal, and I see words like "nuts" "idiot" "broad" "Communist" I don't think the resolution as outlined (and the little I've read) is the complete and perfect answer to what is ailing America or the world today. But I don't see anyone else attempting to propose bold bright positive visions of the future.

It was nice of JFK to get things rolling so Nixon could get the recognition of being President when we first landed on the moon. Nixon and JFK had a surprising amount of respect for each other. LBJ-Not so much. Thats why the probability of Nixon being in on the JFK conspiracy is about zero, and LBJ, >>>>>>>0.

What we don't need is involuntary green programs. Edison, Copeman, etc., that's the kind of Michigander I want running wild and inventing things. Naturally. Voluntarily.

If you are fine with ditching fossil fuels permanently, are you willing to pay more for clean and renewable energy? I just cannot fathom it being cheaper than good ol' fossil fuels.

Everything starts out very expensive... then It becomes cheaper and cheaper as it is broadly accepted. Heck the first computers for home use were ungodly expensive...
