On the news their is an ongoing story about a Submarine from Argentina's navy that is missing. My question is about the pronouncing the name from something from Argentina; Is it Argentine, (like the TINE on a fork) or Argenteen, (like TEENager?) I heard it pronounced both ways on the news.
(I'm sorry if this topic sound trivial in light of current events.)

OK, you made me look! Seems like both are accepted. Appeared that UK speakers preferred the long-I version, with U.S. speakers using the long-E version.
