Anyone know how long Allyson has been on the air at 106.7, She was on mid-days on Friday.

I like Allyson as a D.J., but Fault 106.7 plays my most hated song right now - "High Hopes" by Panic! at the Disco.

I absolutely detest that song!!!

Allyson is using a different name on 106.7, but it’s definitely her, and yes she is very talented, I like the way she comes across on the radio, a very pleasant personality.

She's using a different name?
She's probably embarrassed to be on the air at such a disaster of a station.

1.7 share last month!
I would be embarrassed too

I thought you meant Alison. Didn't think she fit the Format though.

Off the wall song written by Elvis Costello, but I like it anyway.

Is THAT where they got the idea for the 486-SX?

If you follow their Facebook, a vast majority of posts are about P!ATD. I don't know if they got the memo, but nearly no one cares about some half assed poor man's Fall Out Boy that was played out at CHR over a decade ago. I waited years for an alternative station and this was what I got.

Out of curiosity - did you listen to 94.1 The Edge out of Lansing when it was still around? I found that station to be a much better product overall than 106.7.

Every once in a great while, it would float over into Mt. Clemens. I think it helped that 93.9 had no IBLOC so I could get it from time to time. I was still living on the east side when they flipped to Duke. From what I did hear, I would have much preferred that on a full signal. I liked the presentation much more than Fault.

I always liked Bob Allison, especially in the '60s.

Fault 106.7 is taking a page out of WCSX's old playbook. They've decided to do an A-to-Z playlist where every song in the station's library is played in alphabetical order by song title.

Evidently, 106.7 started doing this earlier today. Right now, they are playing "Breaking the Habit" by Linkin Park. Before that, it was "Brass Monkey" by the Beastie Boys.

What I don't understand is this - why on earth would they start this gimmick today? Why not start it at 5PM on Tuesday, for example, when more people have the radio turned on? As far as I know, there was zero advance promotion of this A-to-Z stunt.

Given the fact 106.7 during the first 13 months of its life has had an airtight playlist with a heavy reliance on currents, hopefully this is a sign the station will feature a lot more variety going forward (I doubt it).

I will say the A-to-Z playlist is FAR BETTER than the station's normal, sorry-ass playlist!! I'll enjoy this while it lasts. My guess is 106.7 plays about 13 songs an hour on average - outside of mornings, of course. Once A-to-Z is done, we'll have a good sense of how deep - or not - 106.7's on-air catalog truly is.

They don’t have many songs on the playlist to begin with, that’s why you hear a 3 hour rotation on normal programming that station just outright sucks, They would have been better off simulcasting AM 1310 on that frequency.

The funny thing is - these clowns can't even execute an A-to-Z playlist promotion properly!!!

I just heard "Gives You Hell" by All-American Rejects in the middle of some "C" songs. Now, they are playing "Paralyzer" by Finger Eleven.

This is what happens when Casey K. is your Program Director. Not only does his station in Detroit have piss poor ratings, but the classic rock station he programs in Grand Rapids is DEAD LAST in the ratings among all FM music stations there! :lol

Except when CSX did it, they had me in the production room for days making sure EVERY song was properly titled, intro times were correct, and every cart number matched up. You know, that silly "live bodies in the studio" thing. The jocks cared about their craft and didn't wanna talk over the intro to Ziggy Stardust when they should have been playing R songs.

What's also pissing me off are the 10-15 second snippets of the morning show for promos. I've yet to hear ONE that's even remotely funny or makes me think I wanna tune in. Too many damn voices, too. Like it isn't bad enough I have to hear Boob and Turd and their parade of voices on 106.1 and 104.7. Morning radio blows.

Once, I filled in for a vacationing Jim O'Brien on Ken Calvert's morning show a few years back. I was in the studio with Ken all morning, and he turned my mic on, but never once did I utter a word. Not because I was told I could or couldn't talk, but it's not my show and I didn't have anything to add to the break. Now, anyone near a mic starts jabbering. Useless clutter.
