97.1 really wants their full lineup to be around during football season, so a lot of their staff takes large chunks of time off in August. Samuelsen's been out for a week. Karsch was out all last week, Valenti was out all last week and will be out next week.

I'm more of an Alt rock guy, modern rock guy, but I love this station. If anything, I'd maybe like more dry segs between songs and less jock talk between. I get that, but when a station is new, they can't say the station name enough, probably at some point in the future there will be more dry segue...

Just heard the first air talent on the station - on Sonic Bliss, a chillout show which is also carried on WQKL in Ann Arbor but the jock did specifically talk about The Q, so maybe it's a different version of the show.
