https://ballotpedia.org/Michigan_Proposal_B,_Abortion_Legalization_to_20_Weeks_Initiative_(1972) Yes the most ignored vote by most of Michigan media. Obama infamously said elections have consequences to the squealing delight of his supporters. My question is, imagine a world where abortion was legal...

Re: Real Oldies / WGVU is going away in January
I will first assume GVSU already hired a radio broker to call around and see if anyone is interested, and yes the list would be short. Realistically Holy Family is the most likely scenario where 1480 could stay on the air, they have 40 flood zone acres with towers already on them so the neighbors co...

Re: WTLJ adding 3 subchannels
Like WGVU one would assume one or two will be audio feeds. Evangelical talk radio hasn't been able to build off the success of Christian Contemporary radio. Women mostly listening to the latter and men to the former. One of each would make sense.

Re: WOOD-FM transmitter fried by lightning strike
But I should add that with the spike in home/rent payments, and the flat income growth in the middle/upper middle class poses another challange for media. Less disposable income is never good, especially in a market that is used to low payments in all but a few cities in West Michigan. Even the succ...

Re: WOOD-FM transmitter fried by lightning strike
There are companies that have a transmitter in a truck that they can roll in to get a station back on the air quickly. They can gas power it, but of course your paying a chunk of change assuming you don't have the insurance for such a possibility. Muskegon radio is mostly pathetic as far as ad dolla...

Joe Biden is smart, which is why he will select Whitmer over Susan Rice. Let me start where President Trump missed a big score. Selecting Raymond Kethledge, a Big 10 alum and lifelong Michiganian for the Supreme Court in 2016. Stabenow and Peter's would have voted against him (possibly sinking both ...

While I would not defend past slavery, I would remind you at the present many of us wear clothing and are using electronic devices made by non-white people who don't earn anywhere near a livable wage. Where is the outrage on modern slaves who supply the West with our often unnessasary goodies? Let's...

I assume they kept the tower and lease revenue? Kuiper used to do mainstream Protestant publishing.
I think this group is out of Charlotte, I know they bought the old NPR in Cincy.

Didn't we learn from this the last time? FDR had to call in Joe Kennedy to get the Pope involved... Shrine of the little flower and Fr. Coughlin. Remember? It turned into a Communist cell before the Pope shut that down. WJR was home base for Father Coughlin and his ministry. FDR did shut down Cough...
