They were hand in hand with Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing. Grand Rapids had several major Christian publishers in there heydey. Bally just updated their app and so far it is leaps and bounds better than before. For me that has always been the weakest aspect of Bally.
Considering how shockingly fast the PAC collapsed, paying for sports isn't going away. If I were the WAC though, I would try to buy the name.

Re: Biden finally has an actual Democrat primary challenger
In reality, a vote for Phillips is a vote against Harris. When Democrats were whispering about dropping Joe it was Bill Maher who said what few Democrats would, 'dump Harris from the ticket not Biden'. His candidacy only poses one real question... If Joe struggles out of the gate, would he dump her?...

Re: Robert Kennedy Jr. to run for President as an Independent
Will Kennedy be on every states ballot for the Democratic primary? Obviously the deck is stacked against him with super delegates and so on, but the majority of independents don't even get on every states general election ballot. Kennedy probably won't carry a single state against Biden. A young Ken...

UAW Strike
When the UAW ends their strikes (contract expires 9/15) the real question is how successful they will have been regarding their new contracts. UPS flaunted the fact that drivers will earn $170k a year at the end of their five year contract when adding wage and benefits The UAW is seeking 40ish% wage...

Spectrum is right to drop Disney. Should Spectrum be believed, they were agreeing to the premium increase in exchange for free subscriber access to the Disney+/hulu/espn+ ad supported bundle. Of course Disney only wanted to offer Spectrum subscribers a discount. DirecTV has shrunk from the expanded ...

Re: Detroit Tigers Announcers Voted Worst In MLB
Off topic, but I came across this article about the worst pitcher in MLB history... who played for Detroit in 1912. The story was rarely told in mainstream media as Detroit is a big union town, known more to baseball aficionados. The player was a replacement for a striker. https://www.catholicnewsag...

Re: Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s presidential campaign
Well I don't believe RFK is an antisemite. But I do believe antisemitism is not a disqualifier for many Democrat voters. I don't believe many of his backers think he could beat Biden, but I do think some of them fear a last minute Harris replacement. She couldn't giggle her way out a a Russian invas...

The app, which does leave much to be desired, is $20 a month. That's $1 a game! Bad baseball and hockey, yup. And atrocious basketball too! I don't watch even half the games, but that is how TV works. I have MAX and before the merger there was way to much to keep up with. I pay for shows I don't kno...

Must See 5G TV
Ok I never knew people watch live football at a football game! But I certainly see people listening to hockey play-by-play with ear pieces. As crowded as it gets probably a third of goals scored I see the fans reactions to know and have to wait for the replay. Perhaps in the nosebleed NFL seats (few...

Re: City of Grand Haven evicts WGHN-FM from tower due to lease violations
It's good that WGHN is repaying all the money taxpayers inadvertently subsidized for its electricity bill over umpteen years. If the outright sale of WMPA ever closes, perhaps those proceeds are already spoken for? Otherwise, seems to me the city could've incorporated a springing payment balloon in...

Re: Sinclair’s Sports Channels Prepare Bankruptcy, Putting Team Payments at Risk
I believe Diamond is keeping all the teams that grant it streaming rights such as Detroit's three. They can get paid in market by cable and app streamers, and out of market by ESPN streaming. I hold to the view as many others, RSN is necessary for the NBA, NHL & MLB. MLB is covering the lions share ...

I avoid Dave Ramsey, Suzie Orman and the like. I check my oil weekly, add oil to make sure it is on full if any has burned off or leaked out, and change my full synthetic oil every three months or 3k miles. Why waste money paying to change my oil too often? Project Farm on youtube has a great video ...
