Why would the competition want the WTOD calls? I can't think of any station that would be helped by taking them. Same goes for WLQR. Grabbing the old calls of a station can be helpful if the old station was successful. Neither of these have fit that category for a very long time.

IT was going several miles. I listened again this morning, but there wasn't a carrier on 87.9, so maybe it's just someone who pops on occasionally.

Scanning the dial today and came across WJR being rebroadcast on 87.9 FM. It seems to be south of Toledo (northern Wood County?). Anyone know anything about it?

Of the 8 iHeart Toledo employees that were furloughed in March, one was brought back in early September, one found another job and resigned, and 6 were terminated Tuesday and Wednesday.

I would highly doubt you'll see a significant number of stations being sold off. There might be some trading, but just shedding is unlikely.
