96.3 WHYT from 1986 up until 1992. - A good mix of Urban Contemporary, Top 40, and Dance Music. 102.7 Z-Rock in 1992 and 1993 - Started out good and was different than the competition, at least for the awhile 105.1 The Edge - One the best Alternative radio stations ever. Re: CBEF 540

It has become more difficult to broadcast from 540 kHz in Windsor because 530 CIAO Brampton-Toronto went non-directional days after CBEF moved up to 1550. I will be surprised if 540 AM is ever used in the Province of Ontario again.

Re: Country stations on AM from the 60’s and 70’s

1590 WSMA Marine City was Country from 1967 to 1993. It was daytime only for many years.
Another longtime Country Music station is 920 CKNX from Wingham, Ontario which is still in the format to this day.

The same can be said about Hurricane Katrina when it hit New Orleans. Outside of Hurricanes look at the California drought, the F 5 to...

Re: Twelve Days and Counting

There is no perfect political party, but switching from the Conservatives to the Liberals should be an improvement. We'll see as time goes by. In my own riding the shut down of both the Hiawatha Slots and a nearby power plant has led to the Liberal candidate coming in third place. That is despite th...
