Re: Jessica Starr RIP

LASIK generates a lot of advertising revenue for Radio and TV stations, so I don't expect that there will be much of an expose', except for stations who don't advertise refractive services. Many surgeries have been done with the newer procedure. One source says over one million. It's not just Detroi...

Re: AM Radio 2020

I think CBS/Entercom realizes that WBBM and WCBS hurt WABC and WLS and that is why they keep IBOC on. The CFZM WSB WJR WABC Oasis in the IBOC Desert is the best part of the band! In the Desert, You Can't remember your name, Cause the IBOC Buzz, Fills your head with much pain. La la la, La la la la, ...

Re: I 75 Info Needed

I don't know for sure. Lots of construction going on in many cities. Replacing water lines in Flint has created an influx of money and a South Side mini boom. Ended up seeing that coming back to Bishop Airport. Tried to get on I-69 at Hammerberg Rd., and it was blocked off, and ended up seeing all t...

Re: Jessica Starr RIP

This was actually a relatively new procedure, not regular LASIK. The new procedure essentially involves taking out a lens shaped portion of the cornea, not just laser cuts and flaps near the outer surface of the cornea as regular LASIK does, to change the refractive power of the cornea. So it is muc...

Re: Jessica Starr RIP

There are new treatments for this corneal pain condition. If anyone you know has revealed this condition, PM me. If I don't respond, PM me again. Or post. We can possibly find someone that does this new treatment. I don't want to see anyone else suffer like this.

Re: Jessica Starr RIP

Surgery==>Chronic Pain==>Suicide==>Death. Still a stretch to report without an explanation of the logic. Tragic, any way you report it. :(

Re: AM Radio 2020

When I saw the 2020 in the thread heading, I thought it was 2020 kHz. I thought the expanded band had suddenly been expanded. How cool. Service for hundreds of miles on a fairly regular basis. Look at CFRX on 6070 kHz. 1 kW Nondirectional, and under normal sunspot conditions, massive service area. A...

Re: Jessica Starr RIP

The cornea is full of pain receptors, and this new procedure goes much deeper into the cornea than regular LASIK. There may be a genetic or individual variability in the distribution of these nerve endings, explaining why some people are having severe problems and others not so severe. This comment ...
