Re: WJML
Today(10-1) here in Traverse,WJNL's translator 101.1was dead air all day,1110 WJML was regular programming and interestingly,AM 1210 WJNL was simulcasting 101.1 WGRY out of Grayling with the CBS sports radio network. Just wondering if Blarney Stone Broadcasting is now operating another one of John Y...

Re: After failed run for governor, Keith Butkovich is running for UM Regent

He now goes as ADD TC or something . No,l'm neither Listenbuddy,Jim M.nor John-The Hoss-Perry,and hopefully not a troll.I'm just a gu...

Re: DX in reverse?
For those that do not know,Tune in is a phone App that transmitts audio from thousands of radio station from around the world. I probably should have used a different title in the subject line. l guess my main question is,how does Tune in receive the audio from all these stations? It would seem like ...

Re: DX in reverse?
I realize this, I was just wondering if this app was picking up a Dx signal off air.
You can't get DX or any radio at all with a app.

DX in reverse?
Sunday,at around 1:15,while listening to 98.9 WEMP over the Tune in app,the music I was hearing suddenly was replaced by a statical signal from the Air One network.Tried to listen TOH ID at 2 PM but the static became to great plus, I was working in a noisy environment. I have no clue wether or not T...

Re: Money Talks, Bullshit Walks
-I don't think many, if any, will close. The state doesn't even collect the data, so businesses would be self selecting to close. Judging from various news sources,it would appear that the only bar here in the greater Traverse City area that is being forced to close is the Union Street Station. All ...

Re: Masks Now Mandatory In Stores
While I'm by no means a fan of Miss Whitmer and l think a lot of what TC TALKS says on this board is quite comical,I did see a recent study stating that a person wearing a mask is about 67 percent less likely to contract Covid-19.Just Google masks studies and news.Have to get back to work from break...

Re: Whitmer Misses The Mark
While I can't speak for restaurants on a statewide basisi,I can only think of four possibly five restaurants/brewpubs that haven't been open since the first week of June here in the greater Traverse City area. Two shut down on a permanent basis (Little Bohemian which has been for sale for many month...

Re: Whitmer Misses The Mark
I speak with many restaurant owners and nobody is planning on opening until August for dine in. There's been a lot of research and none of it points to people being excited about dining in nicer restaurants for quite a while. The high value fine dining client is 50+, and they have greater reason to...

Re: Traverse City is open Friday
I could be wrong, but it would not surprise me at all if a few places do more daily covers this weekend, even at 50%, then they did back in mid March which is typically a slower time of the year. That is assuming they have outdoor seating and a all day steady stream of customers. I know of six full di...

Re: Traverse City is open Friday
That La senorita was one of the places I knew was going at full boar speed to reopen.i heard they were doing reservations this weekend and seating walk-ins if any tables were available after that.I sure hope that first taste of freedom doesn't later mean spending a full day or more on the John. A bi...

Re: Re-Open Thread
The way things are going in Traverse City, nothing will be open. 72 hours is not enough time to open, so everyone (except the professional drunkards bar) will be opening on Tuesday. Many operators just can't rehire, train, secure food and open in 72 hours. It was a bit unrealistic. If you come for ...
