Re: WHNN flips to Adult Contemporary; Burke is dismissed

It’s been 2 years since WHNN flipped from Classic Hits to AC. I’m STILL surprised NO ONE flipped to classic hits / oldies since then. And how many AC-ish stations can we have in the Tri Cities (WHNN, WGER, WMPX, WSAG)? I'm thinking "Classic Fox" is filling that void. Traveled to Saginaw recently an...

Re: WHHQ Sold

Wasn't WHHQ some kind of blend of WKNX and WXOX when they were purchased by Meredeth?

It seems they had the tower array and power of WKNX but the frequency of WXOX.

Sitting outside today, kept seeing flocks of ducks, all heading south. Must have been wintering somewhere in the southern U.S. and decided it just wasn't warm enough.

Look out Cuba, for an invasion of ducks.
Hope they make it. Lot's of Cuban's could use a decent meal.

Does Simon have a Dr. in front of her name? If so, it explains a lot.
Yes:

Re: Shutdown: Same Tune - Different Lyrics

Bryce, I recall two or three years ago, you were angry at McConnell for making a deal with the Obama Democrats to avoid a shutdown. At that time, it seemed, a shutdown was what you wanted. Indeed I did. THAT was a budget issue. One that involved funding, which is appropriate for a appropriations bi...

Re: Shutdown: Same Tune - Different Lyrics

As Friday turned into Saturday, the shutdown kicked in after Senate Democrats blocked a 28-day resolution to keep the government open. The bill would have funded the government, and included a six-year extension of funding for the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). But Democrats rejected i...

Re: Shutdown: Same Tune - Different Lyrics

Why is irrelevant. Why is most certainly relevant. Shutdowns in the past have had to do with budgetary matters. That is the crux of a appropriations bill. This shutdown was orchestrated by the Democrats for a non budgetary purpose. One which puts non-citizens, illegal non-citizens, before the citiz...

Re: Shutdown: Same Tune - Different Lyrics

The first President in History to preside over a government shutdown when his party controls the House, the Senate and the White house. Little civics lesson here. Although Republicans hold the majority in the Senate, they do not have "control". In order for a party to have control of the Senate (fo...

Shutdown: Same Tune - Different Lyrics

It would seem that many Democrats think the future of illegal immigrants, non-citizens, is more important than the immediate welfare of the citizenry they were elected to serve. Many, if not all, are claiming they will vote no or block the spending bill to avert a government shutdown. They didn't th...

Maxine Waters IS positively impressive. Unless you are anti-woman and anti-black. Consider the hat comment above. ‘Nuf said. “Guess what this liberal would be all about? This liberal would be about socializing … uh, umm. … Would be about, basically, taking over, and the government running all of yo...

The pro-Oprah hysteria recently has made me ill. To my delight, the Washington Post published a story to remind us what a quack this lady is!
