Re: Fastest ever driven?

About a year ago, hit 100mph on M-14 in my 2015 Escape wanting to get around slower drivers so I could exit a mile up. Hit that speed rather easily too. Back in 69, hit 105 in my 69 SS396, on a local road.

Re: Arizona or Texas?

I've never been to AZ, but I have family there in Tucson and a little town called Ajo. They've told me it is super hot and dry. I have been to Texas, primarily San Antonio and really like that city. It gets hot, but does have a little humidity. We were last there 2 yrs ago and the temps in SA then w...

Re: AT&T/DirecTV Overcharging for Bundles

Back in the late 90's, we switched from cable(Ameritech) to Directv and had that for about 8 yrs. I loved it, thought it was great. Went back to cable, alternating between Comcast and Uverse, till last summer. Decided to give Directv another try and have been quite disappointed. We got the Ultimate ...

When you think you have to let everyone know you're carrying, then you shouldn't be. To me, that's just bragging that you have "all this power" and want everyone to know it and be afraid.

Re: First Red Wings Game at LCA - TONS of empty seats!

I went to the game vs the Bruins on Dec. 11th. I made it a point while watching the game to watch the seats. I would say for the most part, the seats were about 75% full overall, throughout late in the 1st period and through the 2nd. By the 3rd period, it was down to around 50% full. But most of the...

Re: TV That Should Be ON DVD But It's NOT

About a year ago, I began buying complete series on dvd of some the good comedy shows over the years. I already had Seinfeld and Everybody Loves Raymond, but I bought Frasier last year. Since then, I've bought Wings, Becker, That 70's Show, King Of Queens, and Coach. Thinking of getting Cheers in th...

One of them, Jackie, worked with her dad at WOMC for a bunch of years. And all the Purtan sister names begin with a J. And back when Dick worked at WCZY, a couple of them worked with him there from time to time, but I don't remember which ones. They used to do a skit as sisters and opened it with bo...

My wife and I loved News Radio. In fact, I'm thinking of buy the complete series. You can get it for about $20 at various retailers and online sites. And not to be off topic, but I just bought the complete series of Coach for $30 at Walmart about a week and half ago.

I got into Arrow a couple of years back. I bought S1 on Blu-ray, liked it and picked up S2. So far, I've watched the first 3 seasons, with 4 and 5 in the wings. Haven't watched the Flash yet, but have the first 3 season on Blu-ray. In fact, I bought S5 of Arrow and S3 of The Flash this week at Best ...

Their worst defeat ever was January 2, 1971. They lost to the Leafs in Toronto, 13-0. Game was on tv and I watched it. Back then it was agonizing. It was the beginning of Darkness With Harkenss.

Nice collection, TT. When my middle son was a teenager he started collecting the beer steins every Christmas. He doesn't get them anymore, has no room for them at his house, but we used to get him the different ones every year. Stroh's, Budweiser, Miller, Coor's. I wonder if they still go up in value.

My wife really wants one if and when they are available. But I think they're a lot of years away yet before they're fairly perfected. And, my wife that will probably be after she's dead. And since we're both 70 now, she's probably right.

I remember when Wendy's first arrived in Michigan their burgers were hot & juicy. You'd have that stuff running down your hand and arm. They were really good. Then they got away from that and were like everyone else, cook'em up and throw them in a warming bin. In the last few years, they've gotten b...
