Re: Wsgw newsperson

I wouldn't hate on WLEW too much... aren't they still one of the few all local and in-studio DJs? Speaking of, I miss Breck from the station. She's not the same now that she's on Z-93 WKQZ. Breck left Cruise 102 for 98fm KCQ first, then went to Z93 and WIOG. What do you mean that she’s not the same...

KOME - great station!!!

Much, much better station than the very milquetoast present day KUFX. (Barf: https://onlineradiobox.com/us/kufxfm1/playlist/)
Just looked at that playlist - looks like the same old, same old classic rock top 500 playlist with no stand out songs….

Re: Broadcasting burnout

Yep, their digital desk or some type of branding like that. WNEM is having Christina Burkhart launch their live streaming one-person desk. Mid-Michigan NOT Now! recently launched their desk and just hired a Lansing reporter named Kyle Makin to anchor their live desk. Because adding on a self-direct...

Re: January Book Ratings, Big Wins For iHeart while Cumulus Limps

I find myself streaming Z93 out of Saginaw using Apple Carplay over listening to WGRD lately... I’m in Z93’s listening area and need a break occasionally from them at work - and can’t stream SXM online because my wife is at her employer.😮 I’ve been listening to I-Rock 93.5 out of Davenport, IA late...

Re: Detroit Tigers 2024

I've not been impressed with the Tigers thus far. They gave up a four run lead today and tied 9-9. Also gave up an inside the park home run. Relax. The boatload of runs given up in the 8th and 9th yesterday and in the 8th today, along with the inside the park HR, were given up by minor leaguers who...

Re: SUPER SUNDAY!!!

I’m in the same boat. Honestly wish both teams could lose. If I have to root for someone, hoping the 49er’s win to validate their playoff wins weren’t flukes. Additionally, I HATE Kansas City sports fans (had a bad experience watching a Tigers game there) and I can’t stand the cocky and arrogant Pat...

Re: Right to work ends Tuesday (13th)

My understanding is that it does not apply to public govt employee unions, like teachers unions. Privatized bus companies might be a different matter. Correct but incorrect. Teachers are not considered a public government employees. Federal, State, County and City employees, per the Janus vs. AFSCM...

Byron ruined the channel, that's what happened.
Byron ruined ABC12 News also by not committing adequate financial services to keep good reporters there. A couple of their hires for talent in the past few years are questionable

Re: 4 Day Work Week

I used to do 4-10 hour shifts with either Fridays or Mondays off. It was eliminated during the pandemic by my employer and not brought back. Only issue I had was it caught up to me by the end of the week as I was dog tired by the 4th day. As I’ve gotten older and way closer to retirement, I now woul...
